I just booked a quick weekend trip to the fort for Friday, September 19th to Sunday the 21st. Give me a good itenerary to enjoy the fort a bit and to hit MK and DHS. We have season passes. Not looking to commando the parks and want to do Campfire show.

p.s. we have a pup and are staying in a regular hook up site for the first time (all of the tent sites are booked) which loops should we request to be close to meadows pool area?

For possible loops, check out the comments attached to loops 900, 1000, 1300, 1400, in Jared's recent '1400' thread.
Depending on what recreation you want to do, (except fishing/canoeing) time at the Fort is best from the early evening hours on.
If you are doing a campfire, does that mean movie? Hoop de Doo? Trails End? Or rocking chair and checkers?

Wow. This is fun - designing someone else's vacation. :joker:

Next, let me say I'm jealous of folks who can just pop over to the Fort for the weekend like yourself.

Having said that....

If you reserved a Premium I like 900 loop. It's small, has a Comfort Station and bus stop at the loop entrance, and is across the street from the Meadow TP. It is a pet loop and we are non-pet folks but the late night barking dog-type-of-thing has never been an issue for us. 600 is close to Meadow TP yet but has little shade. If you reserved a Full, get 1600. They have sites that bump up to the 1500 Comfort Station so you would be on familiar turf almost.

Schedule wise, I would come in Friday evening, do a quick GAG supper, pizza, or roast hot dogs at the singalong, and do the movie/campfire Friday night. Saturday would be MK day (by boat from the dock) with possibly going back to Fort in the afternoon to swim/nap/relax, then back to MK at night for fireworks, etc. MK is busiest from about lunch to dinner. Up to you if you want to eat CS at MK for lunch or dinner or eat back at Fort if you choose the swim option.

Sunday morning I would pack up and leave the Fort pulling the pup and do DHS. You will FP+ the main rides so no need for rope drop unless you want to. Your Fort parking pass will get you into the DHS lot and you will park with the other oversized vehicles. From there in the evening you can head directly home.

Since you asked, that's how I would do a Fort/weekend/MK-DHS visit.

Thanks Ed for the reply. Yes we are only 2 1/2 hours away (blessed) so we did the week in June and wanted a quick trip before season passes expire lol! I love Disney in Sept. I thought about doing DHS Friday upon checking in, hubby likes to pack up and go lol. I called Kenny from Tee Time and was told they were really cracking down on outside cart businesses and that we would have to drive to Winn Dixie Sunday morning to return cart. Hmmmm for a quick trip idk if I wanna go thru all of that trouble for a few days.

Thanks for the info you've gave me some good tips as always. I did ask for loop 1600 as I remembered that the bath house from our trip in June was very close to loop 1600.

Thanks!

Thanks for the reply. We normally do not do movie, just sing along. But I've made ressies for trails end buffet fri at 5:15. So we may skip altogether. I think we are going to try loop 1600. :)
