I have a few days before the 180th day before reservation start. I am bringing two kids, just older than the cutoff for kid menus. They are very happy about that, since our last trip two years ago when they refused to want anything offered for their age group. I ended up with the happy meals. We have the "plus dining" that is a snack, QS, and TS for each person each day. I plan on buying breakfast off plan, lunch as QS, and dinner as TS. We want to get to a park and stay all day - so the meal locations are set at the park. We are staying at Coronado - and I am thinking of using Garden Grocer to deliver non-perishable breakfasts - due to the price of oatmeal ($6) at this convention resort. Please offer any opinions or other options.

Day 1 @ Hollywood Studios
QS - Starring Rolls Cafe
TS - Hollywood and Vine

Day 2 @ Epcot
QS - window next to Rose and Crown (Fife and Drum?)
TS - Garden Grill

Day 3 @ Magic Kingdom
QS - Columbia Harbour
TS - Tony's Town Square

Day 4 @ Magic Kingdom
QS - Pecos Bill Tall Tale
TS - Crystal Palace

Day 5 @ Epcot
QS - Yakitori House
TS - Coral Reef

Here are my honest opinions

TS - Hollywood and Vine - Totally disgusting...no way would I ever eat here again

QS - Columbia Harbour Great food, love this place. Make sure you sit upstairs where it is nice and quiet

TS - Tony's Town Square Great food, the best calamari in all of WDW

QS - Pecos Bill Tall Tale Love the taco salads here

TS - Crystal Palace Not fond of it...the food is just way too salty. Breakfast is a million times better

QS - Yakitori House No way...the meat is dark meat and full of fat and grisle

TS - Coral Reef I really enjoyed my grouper here...great cocktails too!

I pretty much agree with all of Nicki's assessments. I've never tried the calamari at Tony's though, so I learned something new and will have to add this to my list to try someday. :) And although I've never had the grouper at Coral Reef, I did enjoy both the steak and the mahi mahi that I had there on our two visits last year. I also really liked their Pina Colava smoothie (a non-alcoholic drink that is covered by the DDP) and their creme brulee.

Oh, and I believe you are thinking of the Yorkshire County Fish Shop. This is the window next to the Rose & Crown. Their menu is limited to only fish & chips, but if you like fish & chips (as I do), then this would be a good choice. :thumbsup2

Thanks for the feedback. Opinions are great. If anyone has recommendations for a table service meal at Hollywood Studios or Magic Kingdom, I'm all ears = M-I-C-K-E-Y ears!

Day 1 @ Hollywood Studios
QS - Starring Rolls Cafe
TS - Hollywood and VineNo way! I would book 50's Prime time instead, The kids will love it!

Day 2 @ Epcot
QS - window next to Rose and Crown (Fife and Drum?)
TS - Garden Grill

Day 3 @ Magic Kingdom
QS - Columbia Harbour
TS - Tony's Town Square This is another one I would change. Why not hop over to Chef Mickeys or Kona Cafe? You could ride the monorail and it would give you a nice break from the parks.;)

Day 4 @ Magic Kingdom
QS - Pecos Bill Tall Tale
TS - Crystal Palace

Day 5 @ Epcot
QS - Yakitori House We really like Sunshine Seasons because of the choices. My kids are pickey eaters but they can all find something here.
TS - Coral Reef ]My children like it, but the food it not the best in the world. It's still fun though.

Are you skipping Animal Kingdom?

Animal Kingdom is our last day and by then the meal plan will be used up. I plan on grabbing a quick lunch at the Flaming BBQ. I had chosen places to eat that would satisfy my two little finicky eaters. They enjoy wholesome with little spice, sauce, or breading. One exception being hot wing sauce. They keep me on my toes. A happy mom has happy, full kids. I make the reservations tomorrow and really appreciate your feedback!

We ate at Hollywood and Vine in November. It was okay.. but not anything to rave about.. I wouldn't go again, but there was nothing "wrong" with it.
LOVE Coral Reef--one of my favorites! I would love to hear of good table service in Hollywood Studios. We did LOVE Sci Fi Dine in.. but only ate lunch there in 2008 and 2001.
Good luck and enjoy!

Sci Fi!!! Burger and onion rings and the atmosphere is amazing for kids.
50's Prime Time. Another really great atmosphere for the entire family and the fried chicken or meatloaf dinner are both great.

Every time we go to Disney, these are the 2 restrants that my kids want to make sure that we are going to.

DH said that H&V was just "meh" (I was ill and sent him and the kids). He didn't really care to go back this year when I offered up the list of TS options for DHS. We absolutely :lovestruc LOVE :lovestruc Sci Fi. We're trying out 50s PTC this year since we couldn't get a table (plus I really wanted to try it because of the theme).

We enjoyed Columbia Harbor House. It's one of our favorite QS spots within the parks. Cosmic Rays is another good one that we enjoyed.

Yakitori House was okay. It wasn't anything special, but we enjoyed our lunch.

We'll be trying Tony's and Coral Reef ourselves this year.

As far as AK goes, we tried Yak & Yeti QS in 2009 and it was YUCK. I don't like BBQ, but I really wished we had eaten at Flame Tree (it smelled soooo good - especially since I was still hungry). I made a point to try Flame Tree last year, and OMG, it was soo yummy (and I don't like BBQ!!).

The only TS I changed was from Hollywood and Vine to SciFi. I had first chose Sci-Fi, but family changed my mind to Hollywood and Vine because it was a buffet. I had printed off all the menus to make sure everyone would have a meal option they wanted. The buffets seems to always fit everyone's individual tastes - finicky fly by the time of day tastes. The 50s menu did not satisfy everyone.

Thank you MickeyNicki, jabead, wdwmomof3, nadjalu, debilovesmickey, SPOERLX3, and Lidian for your opinions! :hippie:
