Hello, fellow DISers...once again, I come for your advice. My family and I are planning another family trip for this coming October-to correspond with Halloween and my niece's 12th BD. On our last family trip two years ago (10/00) we stayed at ASMovies and loved it. It was our first time at that resort and we couldn't beat the price, ease of transportation, food court convenience, theming...everything was great for a family trip with 5 adults and three kids ages 12, 10, and 8. This trip is a little different as we have older kids (obviously) and more adults (7)...for a total of 10 people! This means we will need three rooms at the All Stars.

What I'm wondering about is other resort possibilities-I know that the deluxes have many rooms with two queens/doubles and a daybed making it easy to sleep 5...thus ensuring that we would only need 2 rooms. I am also interested in Fort Wilderness cabins...has anyone ever stayed here? We have decided against booking a villa due to cost. Does anyone have any ideas as to what we should do and what the most economical thing would be? Any ideas at all would be wonderful! Thanks in advance....

Ivy,
The more bathrooms you have with a group like that--the better. You only get one bathroom in a cabin. (I know you would be getting two cabins if you went that route.) At least with the All Stars you would have 3 bathrooms. That would be number one priority for me. More bathrooms equals more time in the parks more time for everything!

we stayed at the cabins with a large group. 2 cabins sleep 12 people plus you have kitchens to help defray cost of meals especially breakfast and snacks. We really enjoy the cabins. We do Family trips down every 2-3 years and did the cabins twice, Treehouses at DI once(wonderful too, have 2 bathrooms and kitchen) and the BWV and OKW 2 bedrooms. I have found that the more room we have to spread out the better chance we have to be on speaking terms at the end of the trip. LOL
We recently stayed at ASMo and liked them. I especially liked the food courts. However it was just the two of us. I do not think with our family they would like them because of lack of space. I guess I have spoiled everyone. This trip there are 12 of us and we are staying at BWV for one week and renting a 6 bedroom house for the second week. Done this before and worked well.
