Hi!

I have been looking for a camera, what do you think of the Canon PowerShot A620?

I don't know much about cameras, want to have several different modes so I can just point and shoot. I like the fact that it takes SD since that is what I already have.

I have it narrowed down to the Canon PowerShot A620, the Nikon P4, Olympus Stylus 810 and Kodak EASYSHARE V610

I would appreciate everyone's opinions and advice.

Thansk!

Canon or Nikon. I've tried the Canon and love it, Nikon in general are great too. Olympus based on my personal experiences (I had 3 cameras by them) have very slow auto focus), Kodak tends to be oversaturated, overvalued, and super grainy even at the lowest ISO.

I bought my father the Canon for father's day - found it via the Dell site for ~213 dollars with codes + coupons. It's a nice little camera. Several people at work bought it too - it's got some nice features and has a substantial feel to it. I don't like the tiny point + shoot cameras.

I bought my dgf the Canon A620 for her birthday. It takes pretty good pictures. We've only really used it a few times for regular picture taking. She mainly uses it to take pictures for Ebay. It's well suited for that.

i bought my daugher the A620 and it takes great pictures...it's the same sensor as the s2IS also has some nice features for auto or creative taking...she loves it

other daughter has an easy share 4mp which took ok pics sometimes but it didn't last very long...she basically used it for vacations so roughy about a month( over 2 yrs time) and it's not working anymore

I have the A620, and I love it. Very easy to use, takes great quality photos (especially for the price), and the manual actually reads like a native English speaker wrote it.
