For anyone who has done this, did you feel it was worth it? I'm torn about getting it - I like the idea, but $90 for three days seems a little high.

We used to do it when it was $49 for a year for AP holders. Mostly ride photos, not many other photo ops usually. A couple of years ago they actually gave you a 4x6 photo at each ride. We have so many photos that I rarely take any now. That price is steep but you will be able to download all the ride photos which are great. Still one of my favorites from a few years ago. Look at the kid in the front rows eyes!

Those that know me can surely spot my DA and my oldest.:D

We have really enjoyed Photoconnect on our trips, but we too have never paid full price (I think this past Black Friday, we picked up the annual card for $79 or something close to that) *and* we generally get three vacations in with the card during the 365-day period, so that definitely increases the 'value' . We also make a conscious effort to stop and grab pics whenever the opportunity allows us to, meaning we have always managed to get a LOT of pictures on each vacation.

lol.......love that pic!!

We buy at least 1 pic from each every ride every year......and sometimes the faces of those around are worth buying them for alone!! I swear one woman looked as though she had passed out on JP on one picture last year.......

We buy the 3 days each time we go. I looked back at the last couple trips, one we had 121 photos and the other 110. We stop for photos whenever we see someone and chat with them and they are usually more than happy to take lots of shots and different poses.

can anyone tell me if you are able to purchase this after you have taken a few photos? for example i am still unsure about it, but once we are there if i find we have opportunities and like some photos we take, can i be sure to take note of say the photo numbers and then go and purchase it with adding the photos? hope this makes sense.
thanks!

(Debated starting a new thread.) Does anyone know if universal has a photobook you can make digitally when you purchase their picture package? We do this everytime we visit Disney as I prefer having all the pictures in order in a memory book; kind of tells the story of the vacation. We buy the package & when we download the pictues at home, we can "build" a photo-book online then order it (at an additional cost) to be shipped to us. Does Universal offer anything like this? Thanks!

Yes I believe so, there is one shown on their website myuniversalphotos.com. They have several products that you can personalize with your photos.

I know when we did a few photos (like at JP with the RAPTOR ENCOUNTER) we were handed a Photo passcard, so we could add the pics to our account. I am guessing with those, you could add them on later in the day. I would not bank on being able to do that, I don't think they save unaccounted pictures after the end of the day.

We've debated on it a few times, but have yet to purchase a photo pass. Maybe someone with experience will be by soon to help you :)

I don't mean to compare to disney as universal is different in its own way, but I'm only mentioning it as I've only had photos taken & bought at Disney.

The majority of anywhere you go in disney, you are able to find a cm taking photos - is this the case with universal also or are they a bit more scattered about in both parks?

Also, I'm sure I read somewhere about one of the hp rides where you have to either buy before you leave the attraction or something along those lines, what's the correct information on that if you understand what I mean?

WAY less than WDW. Sorry, not sure how shutter buttons works. We have no interest so I've never checked it out.

I know the HP ride is separate, but still wonder if before end of the day you can put them all on photo connect and purchase either the 1 or 3 day?? Anyone???

Yes, not sure exactly how it works but they will gladly take your money lol.

Last time I prepaid for the package when it was on sale. The first ride we ride was Harry Potter Forbidden Journey. I showed them my receipt to activate my package and they couldn't do it there. They gave me a card to reference the picture. I had to go to the photo shop at front of park and activate my photo package then went back and had HP pic added to account. They did tell me if I wanted a Harry Potter pic as my included print that it had to be done at the ride not at the photo shop at the front of the park like all the other pics. I have also used the same photopass card handed to me by first photag of the day and used it at all photo spots/rides that day and then gone to the shop to have all those photos added to my account.
