My friend will turn 60 next June(09) and she wants the circle of friends to do something awesome..well, the winning choice is Disney World. :yay: Now, I am in charge of the planning, and I need a little help. There will be definitely 6 or us, if not 7...where can we stay without breaking the bank?I will appreciate any and all suggestions.:cool1: Thank you:goodvibes

rent points & stay at the BWV's....
i honestly can't think of any better plan b/c all of you would have such an incredible, awesome time there :confused3

party:

We love the CBR - feels like Nassau......normally 5 or 6 of us travel together and we get 2 rooms (connecting) at CBR or one of the other Moderate Resorts.....less kids but not as pricey as a Deluxe Resort.

Love the Swan and Dolphin. Nice location and rooms. Can get AAA rates... also use AAA 20% off discount in their Cafeteria style restaurant (Picabu) and the Dolphin Fountain which has classic american counter service (burgers/sandwhiches/ice cream). Can walk to Boardwalk area which is very nice, as well as Epcot. Can take boat to Hollywood studios (or Epcot). Bus to MK and AK.

Have stayed there over Christmas 2004 in adjoining rooms with my family, parents, in-laws and nieces/nephews. Esesentialy deluxe style accomodations at Disney Moderate Hotel pricing. Hotel is not as disney, but still colorful and on Disney property with all the perks- extra magic hours, transportation minus disney dining plan option and Magical Express option.

Is this a girls trip? Couples? Would influence my suggestions.

By the way if you are flying in there is no way I'd give up the ME perk. Save the hassle, gas cost and time of having a rental car. Let someone else grab my bags AND bring them to the room: sign me up!

CSR! Check out my CSR website below for pics and info. Great transportation and food.

I would choose POR for an elegant moderate resort or Swan if you wanted in the Epcot area. There is just so much to do there! Both of these are just awesome!!! Warning though.... if you choose the Swan, you may over sleep! The beds are awesome and I had a time getting my family out of the beds!!

I know you will have a wonderful time!!!

Maybe a BWV or BCV. You can get a one or two bedroom villa instead of separate rooms. And you'd have a kitchen to use.

We are part of a girls shopping team:) Just a bunch of girlfriends wanting to help our "old" friend celebrate..we are leaving the husbands home...

So if you can do a DVC Saratoga Springs would be ideal
- Right across from the shopping at Downtown Disney (take a boat over)
- On site Spa (massages, facials, etc.) gift idea?
- On site restaurants as well as well those at Downtown Disney
- Close to the Pleasure Island Adult fun spots in case you want a night out
- On site health club/gym
- If you have any golfers the Disney Lake Buena Vista course is nearby

Taken for the DIS Resorts area:
Saratoga Springs Recreation:
High Rock Spring main pool with slide, two whirlpools and children’s interactive wet play area, a second quiet pool with whirlpool, tennis courts, bicycle rental, arcade, full service spa and fitness facility.

Thank you all for your input..I'll take it to the "Coffee Posse" as we call ourselves:)

My choice would be CSR! Great resort with many deluxe amenities. It has a spa, fitness center, salon and more.

CSR is a great option. No shared transportation, a great pool and awesome food options.
