Need off sight restaurant advice please!

We are a family, mom and dad, grandmom and a 17 year old son and 1 year old daughter and we want to try some offsight places. We know we are going to go to Cheesecake Factory but we need some more family friendly and good places to eat.

We aren't looking for fine dining but places where there will be other kids and maybe something cool for the 17 year old.

Logans Roadhouse on 192. Great steak place. Family friendly. Shelled peanuts on the table and you throw the shells on the floor. Joe's Crab Shack - several in the area. Fun place. Food ok.

Olive Garden is right up the street. There is also a Macaroni Grill which I have heard is pretty good. Before we did the dining plan, we always made a trip to these places. There used to be a Tony Roma's rib joint nearby but I have since heard it has moved further away.

Just off Disney Property close to DTD. A CM friend of ours took us here for dinner one night! Really good food IMO!

The Golden Corral in Lake Buena Vista (on 535) is great for breakfast (not always for other meals though).

The Lone Star Steakhouse and Saloon is always good! (also on 535 in LBV)

A guggestion for you is if there are any restaurants you have seen advertised and looked good or any places you like and don't have by you, go online and see if they have one in the area (chances are good they do!) Our family LOVES Don Pablos. It was our treat about once a month and then it closed. We miss it so much, so we made plans for a dinner there our first night in Orlando (we left NY early to be able to go as we don't leave property one we get there.) It was sooooo good and we were all so happy to be able to eat there again. So, any places you miss, don't have? Maybe go that route.

We enjoy Cracker Barrel. We don't have any around us so it's a nice treat. We like Ponderosa for breakfast, too. Yummm.....

DH and I are looking for a good breakfast spot for the morning that we check in and we love Cracker Barrel too...for the same reasons, none close by at home. Our first night we are staying just up the road from DTD near the Olive Garden, and checking into Disney the following afternoon. We want to get bfast before heading to POR and are looking for somewhere that will have great food...

Has a great breakfast and we go there often on our visits. It is open to the public, not just for hotel guests. It is a combo of buffet and made to order eggs and such. Not tons of items but quality food.
