It's not around the corner but the Loews resorts on Universal property are incredibly welcoming to pets. I've seen dogs leave um.... presents... right there in the lobby in front of the check-in desk and the staff didn't blink an eye - just helped clean up.
According to the lady I spoke with, they'd even have someone take the dog out while you were gone if you wanted. Loews also used to have a welcome basket with bowls, a food mat, treats & such for pet owners too. I'm not sure if they still do but would assume so. DD19 & I saw them as they were putting the finishing touches on the pet gift baskets the summer before last and she still talks about how we need to take her dog so we'd get a doggie basket of our own. hmmm.... we have a full size collie who doesn't like car rides and we're driving 16 hrs... nope, I don't think so.
I have toyed with the idea of taking DD8's tiny new two-pounds-worth-of-papillion-puppy along in my bag though b/c she's so small I was afraid she'd get lost in a kennel run while we're gone but what to do with her when we're not in the room would be an issue for me...
Hi The Residence Inn Lake Buena Vista is pet friendly. They have studio, 1 BR, and 2BR suites and include a full buffet breakfast. This Marriott has good reviews and excellent rates- we are staying there this Aug.
