Need more info on WL.......to stay at WL or Poly?

Hi everyone, I can't decide between the Poly (my favorite) and WL (hubby's wants to try out)? This is a three (3) night stay only along with 8 yr old. We don't plan on doing any parks (saving that for our August trip), if we can't resist then MGM would be our choice park. What is most important for our stay is the pool and beach area. This is where we plan to spend our days at. Here are a few questions I have about the WL (stood at Poly two years ago):

1) Is beach near pool?
2) can you see EWP from beach or any other area on the WL grounds?
3) Does pool have a slide?
4) Is there a pool bar by the pool?
5) Is there room service?
6) Are there lounge chairs on the beach?
7) How would you describe the atmosphere at WL?
