We will be going on Tuesday, March 25th. The park is open from 9 am-midnight. We plan on doing rope drop; how early should we arrive? We will also stay till closing, or close to it. We have never been to WDW, but at DL we generally tour pretty laid back. Can someone look at my plan and tell me how feasible it is, and any advice/suggestions they have? Thanks in advance :thumbsup2

Morning plan:

Peter Pan
Meet Rapunzel
Meet Cinderella (if wait is still less than 10 mins, otherwise meet her in the evening)
Meet Ariel
Haunted Mansion
Jungle Cruise

I'm hoping that we will accomplish this by about 10:00 am. If Big Thunder for some reason still had a short wait, we might squeeze it in somewhere, probably between Ariel and Haunted Mansion.

Other rides/attractions we hope to accomplish:

Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin
Small World
PhilharMagic
Monster's Inc. Laugh Floor
Pirates of the Caribbean
Hall of Presidents

Other characters we hope to meet:
Tiana and Naveen
Stitch
Woody and Jessie
Gaston
Alice and White Rabbit
Peter Pan and Wendy
The Tremaines
The Fairy Godmother
Mary Poppins

FP+ Selections:
Splash Mountain, 1:05-2:05
Big Thunder Mountain, 2:05-3:05
Space Mountain, 5:00-6:00

Dining:
Be Our Guest @ 7:00 pm

We will be going on Tuesday, March 25th. The park is open from 9 am-midnight.

We plan on doing rope drop;

how early should we arrive?

By car, be at the MK/TTC parking lot gate by 7:55AM.

By Disney bus, be at your WDW resort bus stop by 8:15AM.

I would be at resort bus stop at 8...depending on where you're staying I guess. For example, All stars share a bus and CBR is very large w many stops so if I were at those I would go earlier than 8:15. But that's just us...
Unless crowds are very very heavy, your plan should be do-able, but we only do meets if the line is short so it's hard for me to judge that.
It is so important to get there at rope drop for less crowds, and even be one of the first in the park if possible!

We'll be staying at POR- so 8 or 8:15?

My suggestion of 8:15 made allowance for a longer bus trip, but if you don't mind getting up earlier, that's fine, too.

It's not a problem to be a bit early, and it can compensate for unexpected anomalies.

BTW, the bus timing I'm suggesting is for MK only.

For Epcot, DHS, and DAK, I'd be at the resort stop by 7:40-ish.

Those parks usually open between 15-30 minutes prior to their posted
opening times.

The three rides and meet n greets you want to get done in ONE hour won't happen. Even if you walk right on the three rides (which you won't), they would take more than 30 minutes just to get through. That doesn't include any walking between attractions. If you only do two of the three meets, you're still talking more than 30 minutes without any walking time. I'd say you might be able to do the six by 11:00, but not 10:00 a.m.

As to how early you want to be at your resort bus stop, I think 8:00 is better just because you don't know when the buses will arrive. If you happen to just miss the one for MK, it could be 20 min before another arrives. The earlier you get to MK, the closer to the entrance you'll be and the sooner you get started on your morning plan.

I don't think Woody and Jessie are at the MK I could be wrong though? I know that Buzz is

There are a lot of meet and greets you may be able to accomplish them or at least a good amount. Be our Guest will be great you could even do Haunted mansion in the evening. some of the fantasyland attractions may clear out in the evening it's it's open til midnight. i think you can get a lot accomplished by noon starting at rope drop. I also enjoy the Peoplemover, I really love the Monsters attraction and Philharmagic. Enjoy!

Woody and Jesse are between Splash and BTMR. At least they were last June. :)

do you have kids?

We did-- one girl age 6 at the time. (FP was still in effect
Enter mk at rope drop and headed directly to Merida-- Honey and 6 year old went there while I lolly along and got FP to Princesses. they were 3rd.by the time i got there the line was at least 40 people long.

walked up the path to the castle-- went through the door- saw Fairy Godmother. went down that path and saw Peter Pan

ventured back and saw tiana. saw tinekr belle and Vidia. Went to see Repunzel, Cinderella and Belle. Saw Mickey.
The time was not even 10:15

We ventured to Splash, Rode Splash== saw Woody and Jesse.
Rode BTMRR Rode Haunted Mansion, saw presidents

the time was now noon and we high tailed it outta there because it was getting to crowded

I had a plan of attack and accomplished what I wanted

The repunzel will set you back a lot of time there. In the morning it has a 35 minute at rope drop. With you doing peter pan first her line will only build

Thanks for all the help so far :goodvibes

I actually meant 11; I was thinking an 8 am opening when I wrote 10, not sure why. But you do think it seems relatively reasonable to accomplish those in two hours?

Does it really? That's disappointing to hear :headache: On EasyWDW he made it sound like there would be little to no wait if it was one of the first things you did at rope drop. So do you think I should still do it in the morning, or would it be more beneficial to try to get some more rides in in the morning and visit Rapunzel in the evening?

We were in MK Sunday the 2nd- crowd level was a 7...we met Rapunzel with a 15 minute wait and werent in line till 930 (after our ADR at Cinderellas castle). I think your ride plan is fine, but in our experience meeting the characters took time- you have to time it when they are actually there, and then there was usually a 15 minute wait at each one. We saw a lot, but over multiple days. I would prioritize and see what you can fit in. We followed Joshs plan one morning and he was pretty accurate- we ended ahead of his schedule.

Also, make sure you have the meet and greet times before you go- some of the characters like Peter Pan are done meeting by the evening...if you want to see Naveen with Tiana, he wont join her until around 6pm. So just make sure you see the ones that dont meet at night earlier in the day.

Okay, so here is our updated plan (keep in mind that the park opens at 9:00am).

Meet Rapunzel (and Cinderella if wait is 5-10 mins)
Peter Pan's Flight
Meet Ariel
Haunted Mansion
Meet Woody and Jessie (starts at 10:00am, so could switch with Haunted Mansion if needed)
Jungle Cruise
Pirates of the Caribbean

I'm hoping we would be done with this around 11:30..how feasible does that seem?

Also, the other characters we hope to meet are:
Tiana and Naveen
Gaston
Peter Pan and Wendy
Fairy Godmother
Stitch
Ariel

Is it crucial to meet any of those in the morning? What other times of day would have reasonable wait times?

Sorry, I have not been to WDW since 2008 so I won't be of much help.... but I am watching your thread intently as I am hoping to accomplish things the way you are attacking them. (we will be there 3/29-4/5)

I have boys though...so no princess meets....WAH!!!!!!!!!!!! Hoping I can talk them into enchanted tales with belle though...just to say we have seen it!

Good luck!

Some of the characters don't come out until 10 others I think not until afternoon. I would do Rapunzel and Cinderella right away and then Peter Pan. At RD these things won't be so busy.

I want to recommend getting meet times from Kenny the Pirates website or downloading the APP before you go. The times guide at MK yesterday was really vague. We wanted to meet Buzz. I knew from Kenny the Pirate he's supposed to meet starting at 10 am. The times guide said something like "Tomorrowland friends meeting from park opening until whatever time it said...I don't remember. " if I hadn't visited Kenny's website we wouldn't have known. We were in line by 9:58. Not another soul in sight. Out came Buzz. We got our pics and moved on. Once kids spotted him the line started to grow but it's kind of awesome knowing who and where and when. Don't count on the times guide to be specific.

Meet Rapunzel (and Cinderella if wait is 5-10 mins)?

these are two different waiting areas.

Repunzel will be the longer of the two.
(Until the end of April when Elsa and Anna meet- i would bet that Repunzel line greatly diminishes

I would do Repunzel first then meet with Cinderella.
