Just want to know where I might find the info for 2004? I'm about to book a trip around Thanksgiving, but want to go to this before we head home.

Any idea where I can find the dates for 2004?

I haven't seen anything as far as 2004 goes, but MVMCP started on the last Sunday in Nov in 2003. I would imagine it would probably be the same, so it would be Nov. 28 for 2004. That would be my guess. I'm hoping that's the case since I might be planning a trip then too.

Unfortunately for us, the first MVMCP is usually the Sunday night following Thanksgiving Day. My children are off the whole week of Thanksgiving but have to go back to school the next Monday. We have been down several times over this holiday week and will be again this year. I wish they would start it the day after Thanksgiving to give everyone who is there for the holiday weekend a chance to go. I have asked the CM's to pass this suggestion along each year, but it hasn't happened yet. Maybe this year?!?

I don't think they want to start it on Friday night following Thanksgiving because the parks are already crowded, they don't want to close MK at 6:00pm. They close it on nights for MVMCP after the Thanksgiving crowds are gone and the Christmas crowds have not arrived yet. Even Sunday night is questionable since Thanksgiving is earlier this year. Usually they don't start until around Nov 30th.

I've never seen a MVMCP earlier than about 8 days after Thanksgiving. Candlelight Processional usually starts Thanksgiving weekend (but not Thanksgiving). Same with Osborne Spectacle of Lights (if they have it in 2004).

MVMCP might had a few date's this year.We have been to at least one MVMCP each year since 1992.That is how special it is to our family. It has now become a part of our Christmas tradition.::yes:: ::MickeyMo :wave2: ::MinnieMo

As the others have posted, the dates for 2004 have not yet been released. However, based on the historical pattern of the past few years, and assuming there will be 12 parties again this year, it's a pretty safe bet that these will be the dates:

11/28, 11/30, 12/2, 12/3
12/5, 12/7, 12/9, 12/10
12/12, 12/14, 12/16, 12/17

I've adjusted for the days of the week - if you look at the dates for the past few years, you will see that the parties are usually scheduled for Sundays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays during the period that the crowds are low.

Crowds decrease significantly beginning the Sunday after Thanksgiving and increase again starting the weekend before the week that contains Christmas. This is due to many schools giving their students 2 weeks off for the Holidays.

Keep in mind that I have made an educated guess on the dates and of course Disney may change the pattern for this year. Not everyone will agree with my predictions either, LOL. But hoping it will at least help with your planning until the dates are released.

Best wishes -

Also hoping they keep with this type of plan. I'm banking on 11/28 for MVMCP and Thanksgiving week-end for CP. I've been when it's busy before, but not this busy!!!!
