I read the FAQ thread and I'm confused about whether I can take a ECV from MK to GF.

The thread states that if water levels are good then the motor cruisers will work for ECVs. The motor lauches are not accessible to ECVs. From the way it sounds both kinds of boats are used between the GF and MK; is that right?

How do you know if the proper boat will be available for the commute?

I'm very afraid that our own ECVs will not be able to navigate the inclines for the monorail ramps; so, we want to do the boats. These ECVs are poor for inclines.

Will someone with experience help us with this dilemna. TIA

Sorry, but only the launches serve the GF/Poly/MK route and these are not accessible, the monorail is your only Disney option to MK.

There are only 3 cruisers, two of them serve FW as the only direct transportation to MK, the other is used as well as a launch on the WL/MK route

True, your only option is the Monorail. FWIW, I use an ECV also and have never found the ramp to be steep... not anything like the walkway up to the Land in Epcot... don't even get me started on that one!! :sad2:

We'll take a car if need be.

I was thinking of leaving the scooters until we got back at the marina but when I called special needs it doesn't sound like something they want us to do, either.

We put our manual chair in the boat going from GF to MK one evening. It was a slow time and not many folk were in the boat. We both thought it reminded us of the boat in H.R. Puff N Stuff so we gave it a shot. I had to manualy load both the chair and DW. We did enjoy the ride but it was too hard to do again. Plus, it actually takes two to three times as long to get there as the monorail.
