Hi - we are going to be in Disney Nov 4-14 and would like to hit the F&W festival. Can someone tell me how it works, where it's held, etc?

The festival is held in Epcot. Throughout the World Showcase there are booths set up from various countries (including but not limited to those that are represented year round by the pavillions). These booths sell samples of food, wine, and beer from that country. They are small appetizer size portions that range from $2-$4. There are also free wine seminars and cooking demonstrations held daily. I believe the seminars are held in the Odyssey building and the cooking demonstrations are held in an area built just for the festival near Morocco. There is a booklet you can pick up when you enter the park that lets you know where and when these are held. You can also find a copy of this information at waltdisneyworld.com. Go to Parks, then Epcot and there should be a link to the F&W fest. Then there is a link on there that says something like "festival details" or something to that affect and that will bring up the copy of the pamphlet.

One other free thing is the nightly eat to the beat concert series. These are held three times a night in the theater in the American pavillion. The act varies throughout the festival. I know during the time I'm there I'll see the Commodores, Three Dog Night, Survivor, and a few more acts.

In addition to the free activities there are special events that cost extra. These are things like Food and Wine pairings, Brewers Dinners, Party for the Senses, and Reserve dinners. Some of these already sold out (reservations started in July). You can check the information here on the Dis or at the WDW site for more information about these events and then call to see what is still available if you're interested.
