I am planning ahead for MNSSHP and am not sure where to find some quality costumes. Any tips would be very helpful. Thanks.

I am interested too. Were I live your costume has to fit over snowpants and winter jackets. :lmao: Plus I think there are going to be a lot of pirates...Would appreciate help from those of you whove done this. Thanks. :wave2:

I like disney store / disney shopping costumes. They hold up great and are of the highest quality that I have seen as far as costumes go. I know ebay often had great deals on them, new and used. Especially off season.

For little kids, IMHO, you can't beat Old Navy. I have purchased almost all of my kids' halloween costumes there. They have always been adorable and very cozy and comfy for the kids. In general, I am not wild about their clothes, but I think they do a great job with the halloween costumes.

Good luck!!!

For MNSSHP I would go with something that is cool. I've been twice. The 1st trip kids were DD(21 months) Tinkerbell (Disney store), DS(4) Peter Pan (I made the top that he wore over shorts & T and we bought a Peter Pan hat at WDW), DD(5 1/2) Wendy(wore a blue night gown over shorts). The next year I just bought them matching Pirate T's and foam pirate hats that I could pack flat.

The Disney Store sells some cotton PJ's that could be used as a costume. Buzz, Incredibles, Power Rangers.

It can be very hot on MNSSHP nights-even in late Oct. I've never worn anything more than short & T.

I have had the same four Disney adult costumes, Pooh pooh: , Tigger :tigger: , Eeyore :eeyore: , and Beast for about five years now. They still look brand new. I bought all from Disney online. I am at the point where I just let other people wear them during Halloween. Everyone LOVES them.

I've been buying them there for 4 years now. I think they had princess ones last year. The selection varies from year to year. My DKs wear them for "dress-up" so I've really got my money's worth out of them!

Disney Store and disneyshopping.com will start carrying their costumes sometime in the middle of July. Plenty of time for MNSSHP shopping.

Now that I live here and have been to three MNSSHP, be prepared for HOT weather. Once last year and once this year, it was still in the 80's at 10 at night.

As a result, DH and I started planning costumes on November 1st. We're not getting stuck in hot costumes again. I'm probably hitting Ebay with my furry costumes that were perfect up north!

A company named Prestige makes some really nice princess costumes. They are a little expensive but I have heard of people finding them at Costco (although they were always gone by the time I got there). My DD went as Cinderella and Jasmine. We still have them as part of the dress-up wardrobe. I like them better than Disney's. Here is a picture or two..or more. (the Jasmine one I added her dance leotard underneath for comfort and to cover up her tummy) Disney also makes some great furry costumes but I think those would be soooo hot. Have a great time!
