Need Ideas for Princess Album

While shopping for items to scrap our May trip to WDW, 2.5 yo dd latched onto one of the smaller Cinderella albums by SandyLion. DD loves the princess, so I decided to do a small album just for her. So far, I've devoted 2 pages (facing one another) to each of the princesses. On the right side, I have an autograph from the princess and one of the princess portrait 3-D stickers from EK Success. On the other page, I have a picture of the princess (some with DD and some just from the parades). It still looks a little plain, but I don't want to make it too "busy." I've printed the princesses' names in different Disney fonts, but they don't really seem necessary since the autographs are so distinctive. Any ideas? Dh suggested adding some princess-related text across the top or bottom of each page -- possibly typed-out in a curving banner using some kind of text art. I'm so close to being finished with this. I'm afraid if I don't wrap it up in the next day or so it will be consigned to my huge pile of "nearly finished" scrapbooking projects. Ugh!!

How about some hand journaling of her reaction seeing and meeting those princesses on each page?

She might not be able to read now, but in a few short years she will. In the meantime, it would probably become her favorite storybook.

I really like that idea! :teeth: It will make great bedtime reading! ::yes::

I would try to journal what you can about her reactions like Lisa said. You can even expand it to include random facts about your DD and the princesses ~ which books she likes to read, which princess is her favorite, any dress up or pretend she likes to do, phonetic spellings of how she pronounces their names (my DD said "Miss Harmon" for Prince Charming :) and one of her favorite games to play was Sleeping Beauty ~ the kiss scene and then dance) etc.

You could also use quotes from some of their songs, i.e. A dream is a wish your heart makes, Some day my prince will come, Bibbidy Bobboidy Boo, etc.

I just looked at the Princess album today at ACMoore and was very tempted...

Or you could just get some princess themed paper to put it all on. It will make it less plain, and hopefully not to busy either. Are the pages plain white? I think a patterened background would look nice.

My background papers are all subtle patterns - slightly brighter pastels.

I'd wish I had some cute info to journal, but I don't. Dd just smiled shyly at all the princesses. At home, she watches the movies and looks at her princess books over and over again. She doesn't mispronounce their names or really have anything unique to say about them. Bummer!!

Squeaky Mouse,

You do have cute info to journal. I would capitalize on that for the journaling. It would be enough material for a little girls storybook.

You could say she behaved like a little princess herself when she met so and so, smiling shyly, etc. Another journaling segment could be on those characters whose movies she loves to watch. My favorite all time Disney commercial is the little girl who tells one of the dwarves she saw his movie three times. Another journal box could be who her favorite is or if all are her favorites. Another could be about how she always pronounced each princess name so well at an early age.
