I know it's going to be super HOT and was trying to come up with an idea for girls costumes that they won't melt in. DD10,DD7, DD6. Any suggestions would be appreciated. We leave in 13 days so time is running out!!! :hourglass

Tinker Bell, a Princess... Um non Disney would be a Good Witch and Angel, a Cowgirl. princess: Hope that helps.

When my DD was 7 we went and I needed something easy to pack and cool so she went as a Mexican girl. Wore lite weight white pheasant shirt you know the type with the elastic and sleeveless but has the ruffle around neck and over shoulder, bright color cotton full skirt I think red or orange (I made easily with elastic waist) and a sash around her waist (strip of bright striped fabric) and we put a couple tissue paper type flowers in her hair that I attatched to barrettes.
She looked very cute was cool, comfortable, could move easily, wore sandals, didn't take up a lot of room and inexspensive.

For Disney cosumes, Jasmine might be cooler than the other princeses, and Tink or another fairy would be cool if you didn't wear tights. A cheerleader could also work (and I think disneyshopping.com has Kim Possible.)

My dd is 7 1/2.. cant forget the 1/2. We are gong to MNSSHP on 9/29
she wants to be a "60's girl" We are tye-dyeing her a t-shirt that she will wear with gauchos or shorts. We'll add a peace sign necklace make a headband out of glow in the dark necklaces and shes done! She is actually really excited about this costume. Have a great time and good luck.

A hula girl!! A bikini top and grass skirt with the bottoms underneath and sandals. Add a few leis and flowers in the hair...perfect for a hot day!!

Thanks for all the awesome ideas. I'll suggest these to my girls tomorrow and see if we can agree( or at least they can agree)! Every year they argue because they want to be the same thing and sometimes we have two of the same costumes! Only 12 days until my first POLY stay. I can't wait to sit down to our first meal at O'Hanas.
