Need ideas for DH 40th birthday

Hi.

DH turns 40 in June. We are going on a cruise to Alaska and get back home just a few days before his birthday and I was thinking of giving him a party for the weekend after we get home. My daughter's birthday is the week after that!

What do you guys think? Should I give him a party or give him a party combined with my daughter's party? I gave my daughter a big birthday party last year so I wasn't planning on giving her a big party this year, just a little family one.

Any ideas, any suggestions? 40 is a big one so I wanted to make it special.

Instead of the party could you do something special on the cruise? A surprise to him kind of excursion?

What do you think he'd really like? Is he a party type of person?

How about doing something special during the cruise - maybe decorate the cabin or do a couples spa thingy?

The cruise sounds awesome, I think that is special enough for his 40th

I think the answer involves whether or not your DH would like a big party. Mine would not, so although I have not come up w/ a plan yet, am thinking a small gathering of friends to hang out or go out

A fun excursion or extra on your cruise would be fun

If your DH likes parties and doesn't take things too seriously, you could consider doing a party at a funny venue for him. We have a place here called 'Pump it Up' here that is an indoor bounce house sort of place and I noticed that they do adult parties where the big people get to bounce and slide too.

If you have something like that in your area, it would be hysterical! The adults would like it, the kids would like it, and it would be something to remember.

Of course, your husband has to be the type to be a good sport about it!
