Hi all!

DD is turning 7 and we've been lucky enough to have celebrated her last few b'days at WDW.

For this B'day, we've invited about 8 of her friends over. I have a Piñata, and we will have pizza and cake. I have a very talented neighbor/friend who can do the most amazing balloon animals. I'm checking to see if she is available and I'd be happy to pay her.

The party is just two hours long. Do I need other games and/or activities for the kiddos?

Any ideas and suggestions would be very appreciated!

At that age I do think the party goes more smoothly if you have something planned for them to do pretty much the entire time (meaning plan how much you think you need to fill time and then have 2-3 back up extras ready to fall back on when things finish faster than you thought). These can be simple. Kids this age love to freeze dance!

It is relaly good to have somethign easy to jump into for the kdis to do as they arrive since not everyone arrives at exactly the same moment. A paper tablecloth they can decorate or beads for stringing would work well with the age.

My DD turned 7 last week, and she wanted a "craft" party. They decorated canvas totes (on sale at Hobby Lobby this week, I think) with fabric markers, made bead bracelets, filled bottles with colored sand (this was a HUGE hit!), made paper flowers (American Girl kit from Michaels), and decorated their own mini-cakes. They all had a great time!

Another option is to buy or borrow a karaoke machine and let them put on a talent show. There are tons of Disney music karaoke CDs. Maybe provide some dress up jewelry, feather boa, sunglasses, etc. so they can get into character.

You really need most of the time planned out, though the plans can be simple. Are they all girls??? If so, consider doing nails, hair and make-up and doing pictures.

CRAFTS are great. If all girls, much easier to come up with one but doable with boys as well.

Be sure to put away any toys that might be broken or you just want to be off limits!

Have FUN.

lots of great ideas

Last year we decorated a cookie and put that in their goodie bag.

We made tissue flowers (it was from a kit) and butterfly masks.

It felt like a lot of chaos, but everyone had a good time.
The smile on my DH face in the pics is priceless.
:scared1:

We are having my DD 9th b-party next week.

She is having 3 friends sleepover. She wanted more but we have 4 wii remotes, so no one will be left out.

She plans on doing nails, makeovers .

We decorated cupcakes one year and the kids loved doing it, it took about 30 minutes! I had little bowls of candies and squirt icing for decorating after they iced them.
