Need ideas for coach gift from team

somehow I am always the mom that organizes this? Oh well, with all the time they volunteer, I think it is important to show some gratitude. Anyway.... wanting to give a gift from a Jr high team to 2 young guy coaches. Last year we gave gift certificates, and I don't like that because I feel like I am just giving money. We don't have a large team, and I don't like to ask for a lot of cash from parents. I am thinking I will have about $40 each to work with. I thought about coach polo shirts for next year or hats, but I am not sure if they intend to coach again, so..... may be it shouldn't be team oriented. any ideas out there?

My ds22 is a hs basketball coach at his old high school. I think last year the team gave him a signed card from the team, a team picture and a gift certificate to maybe applebees or some place like that. He was very grateful.

One of the posters on here said she was a coach and one of the most thoughtful gifts she appreciated was a scrapbook. I don't know if it was one person taking all of the pictures or a combination of parents submitting for this. I thought this was a wonderful idea.

And I know how you feel, it seems like I'm always the one that organizes for the coach's gifts. I don't mind it but sometimes I would just like to sit back and just contribute.

We have always gotten our coaches gift cards for local restaurants. While you may not like them, I can bet the coaches enjoy them. A few years ago, DH helped coach our youngest's baseball team. The team mom got each coach a gift certificate for a local wing joint and a baseball shaped bank.
