I'm headed to WDW this September with my mom and sister... I am beyond excited for our "Girls Only" trip!

We'll have 4 days at the parks... my mom's 60th birthday will be the day before we arrive. I'm definitely getting her a birthday pin to wear while we're there.

Any ideas as to what else my sister and I can do to celebrate our mom's milestone birthday?

Maybe order a flower/balloon arrangement to be delivered to the room?
Maybe a fireworks cruise?
I can't think anymore tonight..Sorry. I will keep on it though! :thumbsup2

Do you all like to sing? My daughters and I went for the first time to Jellyrolls on the Boardwalk - yes it has a cover charge and is a bar - but we had a blast - we knew most of the songs - you can request songs (that is mainly what it is) and I'm sure they'd sing happy birthday to your mom!

We are staying offsite... but I do like the idea of flowers waiting for her at our condo.

I'm sure she'd love a fireworks cruise... but there's no way my sister and I could afford that for just us! :scared1:

How about some pampering at the salon at the Grand Flordian or maybe Tea there(I think that is where they do it)? You could also look into getting a cake done by the GF bakery.

Illuminations Cruise?

On DD's 13th b-day we took an Illuminations Celebration Cruise. The boat was decorated & I had a gorgeous cake delivered right to the boat before departing on our cruise. It was fabulous! Once we were docked in Epcot, we had two wonderful castmembers on board who initiated singing Happy Bday to DD before we had the cake. The boat next to us joined in & we shared our cake with them. Nothing like enjoying b-day cake while viewing Illuminations! :cake:

If you are dining at any of the Grand Floridian restaurants you should order the Glass Slipper Dessert! It is a white chocolate shell in a glass slipper shape filled with white chocolate mousse and topped with raspberries. We also got a milk chocolate "boat" filled with milk chocolate mousse and raspberry sauce and cream on the plate. The plate was personalized in chocolate.
I got one for my Mom's retirement when we had dinner at 1900 PF. She was so surprised, it was a lovely presentation and my goodness it was delicious! And a bargain at $15!

That sounds fabulous, and I'm sure my mom would love it... but I don't think my sister and I can afford the price! Yowza!

That looks delicious!!!

We aren't dining at any GF restaurant, though. The TS meals we have planned are:

lunch @ Whispering Canyon
lunch @ Sci-Fi Dine-In
breakfast @ Crystal Palace
dinner @ Boma

Anything special we can do at one of these places?

Hi Hon
Mel here with an idea

supplies needed
print coupon
buy a Candy bouquet from the gift shop--or a single disney lollipop.
buy a ten dollar Disney gift card.
attach gift card to coupon and attach the two to the bouquet of candy or lollipop. A bit of ribbon looks nice.

If interested I can personalize the coupon with her name.

here is one I made for my Grand-daughter Hannah
