need ideas for area behind BB Hoop on driveway

We are hoping to finally put up a hoop along the driveway. The problem is our nasty neighbor. She does not allow us or our kids to set foot on her lawn...EVER! It is the typical layout...2 car garage/driveway, with about a width of 4 feet of our lawn and then her property starts. I need something to help keep the ball from rolling into her yard, and it will look rediculous to put a privacy fence there, but that is what would be most effective. We are in Chicago...so something hearty! Area is on the south side) Any thoughts? I'm going to try this on the comm. board as well.

Some of the larger ornamental grasses come to mind. They should be able to "catch" the ball before its gets too far. Sorry you have to deal with one of those types of neighbors.

Put up a fence maybe they will get the idea....

my nieghbor is nice but his back yard reminds me of sanford and Son

I have Hemlocks, forsythia and Spruces planted in a bed with a small stone wall around it. It does stop the ball but squashes whatever is planted there until it's quite large. Evergreens can handle it. Our net is the kind you can move. So when the bulbs are in bloom I move the net to let them flower. Then when the summer flowers are up I put it in another spot. It's been moved again now that the boat is in the driveway.

Thank you guys...I think we are leaning toward a river birch...I know they get huge, but not in circumference...so I think there will be enough room, and they grow so tall! I like the ornamental grass idea too, maybe around the base? Looks like we have ourselves a project.
