Need idea for cub scout cake decorating

My two ds , one is a tiger cub the other a webelo, They have to make a cake with Dh and decorate it to the theme of Pilgrims of plymouth rock. any good ideas for a cake??

Oh, this brings back memories.

We used sugar cubes for building blocks on our project. We did not have a Thanksgiving theme, though.

I have also used Rice Krispie treat mix to form into shapes for decorating. You can ice over it easily and it is light, can be cut back in shape, etc.

Have fun, these really are the best years.

How about a Cornucopia. You could draw the horn in icing on a rectangular cake and fill it in with icing like a basket weave. You could make the stuff inside the horn (Indian corn, gourds, etc.) from marzipan or just draw it in icing.
