Need hotel suggestion for mom staying near the Poly

We're going to the Poly in January for a week. My mother will be coming in just for the weekend, staying a Thursday and Friday night. She's a budget-conscience traveler, so we're trying to find her a place to stay near the Poly that had decent transportation to the TTC. I was thinking Downtown Disney area. Or ???

Need suggestions. Who can help?

value resorts. I like them better than the DD hotels. but go with the best price.

Unless you plan to have a car and stay really off site, I would go with any of the DtD hotels. I know you can get some great deals on the different hotels at different times. My dad's personal favorite is Hotel Royal Plaza, but I think you can get some of the others for a little bit less than that a night. If you look around you can get a much better rate than even the value resorts, with far superior accomodations.

Are there actually any hotels that do transportation from the hotel to the TTC? Or do all of them go directly to parks?
