Need Hotel recommendations

Looking for at least a 4 star non disney hotel recommendation. Will be going to both Universal and Seaworld. We're a family of four with a 13 ans 11 yo. Need to know the pros/cons. They are all beginning to sound the dame. Dont want too fancy as we'll have the kiddies with us and want to wear flip flops.

Sheraton Vistana Villages is a wonderful choice. great location, lots to do.

If it is in your budget, stay at one of the 3 resorts at Universal. They are excellent and staying there includes express, which lets you skip all the regular lines, sort of like fast pass.

Upatnoon- I have tried the Universal hotels but there are no rooms available even a year out. What's up with that?

Wearing flip flops are done in all the Orlando area hotels, so don't worry about that.. I would keep checking the Universal Resorts, they would be your best bet. There is also the Peabody on I-Drive & the Gaylord Palms. You can also try Priceline & Hotwire...put in a 4* and the SeaWorld/I Drive zone... you cannot go wrong with a 4* thru either of those sites. You will not know what you are getting until you pay, but at that level star, I think you would be happy... and it would be cheaper than booking with the resort directly.

OK...I was able to call directly and book the Universal Royal Pacific. No discount rates yet, but no cancellation fees so when the AAA and GVT rates come out I was told I can cancel and rebook
