Hi DISers -
I need some hotel recommendations for our May 2009 trip. We will be in Orlando for 2 weeks (spending week 2 at Animal Kingdom Lodge). Besides Disney properties, I am looking for suggestions for places in the Sea World to Universal area for at least 3 night if not 6 for the first week. We will be spending a day each at IOA,US,and SW. It is myself, DH and DD 5yo. Looking for a place that is kid freindly, nice pool area (or great pool area) - musts. Would like also the following - breakfast included, no parking fee and a suite set up. Hoping to find something in the $100-120 price range per nt. Thanks.

DH and I stayed at the doubletree Universal for 3 nights before our week at HRH. Our room was clean and very comfortable. Also I think they have just done some rennovations since we were there. I know that the hotel has a starbucks and several shops inside the lobby. Not sure about parking fee, though. I believe our rate was 119.00/night.I just looked at the same hotel for our next trip and if I use my AAA I can get the room for 91.00/night.
Hope this helps.:goodvibes

You may want to look at the Hilton Garden Inn near SeaWorld.

I've never stayed there but people have said good things about it.

I think there's also a Residence Inn near Seaworld that people have liked.

Good luck finding a hotel. That's always the hardest part of visiting an area you aren't familiar with. :)

We stayed at the Sheraton Studio City which is half a mile from US/IOA and right across the street from Wet n' Wild. I would definitely stay there again. I got it on Hotwire for $52/night. I limited my search to the Universal area and picked a 3*.

Check out Staybridge suites. Not a bad price, breakfast included, snacks on some week nights.. we had a 2 bedroom 2 bath suite. It's the only way to go when nana goes with us.
