This is a new side of the board for me ! I might be spending a little time over here now. I am planning a trip with my family.

It will be me > DW, DH, DS10, DD3 and both my parents in their 50's.

I am having a REALLY hard time finding a hotel for us. I had wanting
1. A room/suite that fit us all
2. Was within walking distance to the parks
3. Continental Breakfast
4. Doesn't charge to park the car
5. Under $160 night for either 2 rooms or a suite for all of us
6. Free Internet Access

I am not asking for much right ? :lmao: I know I can't have them all so that is just a wish list !

I had wanted to stay at the HoJo but that would require two rooms and it doesn't look like they have our dates available with the Entertainment Rate. So that makes it over $225/night for two rooms.

I found the Residence Inn Anaheim Maingate but it isn't within walking distance ?! But our rate would be about $150/night. It has everything but we would be using a shuttle :scared1:

Any reviews or other suggestions someone could give me ? I am ready to pull my hair out here :surfweb:

Although the Residence Inn Maingate it is a bit of a walk, we stayed there last year and walked every day of our 5-day stay. Our family is DH, DW, DS5 and DS3 (we took our stroller with us for the boys). It was only about a 10 - 15 minute walk, and we saw several other families making the same trek each day. We figured that we spend our whole Disney day on our feet walking anyway, so what's another half an hour per day? Their breakfast bar is FANTASTIC too- much more than continental. They have an actual hot breakfast bar (it changed every day, but always had scrambled eggs, bacon and sausage) plus several waffle machines where you can make your own waffles.
Also, they will go grocery shopping for you, and will bring the food to your room even if you are out playing in the parks- you only pay the actual cost of the groceries. This saved us one lunch or dinner per day, which was a big plus.

If you are used to walking the Residence Inn Maingate is a great choice, as Squidmo said. I really like the penthouse suite, as it is 2 stories, with a room in the loft & I think a bathroom, too.

If you truly want something right across the street try the Camelot Inn (suite) or the Carousel Inn (suite). There is also the Desert Inn & Suites, a little farther, but still walkable.
