We have been on the 3 day cruise before but it was 3 years ago.
I have read a few things and now have questions.
We are going again this summer.
Can we now book shore excursions before cruising? How soon?
Can we book spa treatments before cruising? How soon?
Can our 11 year old check himself in and out of the club if we say he can and would this be too young?
We had late seating before and liked it, our agent booked us for early seating this summer. I know most people with young children want early seating, but I am not so sure? Can we have a late breakfast seating on the last day if we have early seating on the cruise? I do not particularly want to get up soooo early.
Sorry so many questions, just want to be prepared.

You will get a brochure about excursions when you get your documents, at that time you can book your excursions through Disney. There are many DIS board members who have booked non-Disney excursions and been happy with them.

Spa treatments are taken upon embarkation. Remember there are times blocked off for the concierge levels. During the spa tour, you can bring your children and from the exercise room get a great view of the ships's bridge. Otherwise children under 18 are NOT allowed in the Spa.

Not sure about the 11 year old checking in and out. Sorry!

If you have early dining then you have early breakfast on your last day. There are other places to eat besides the dining room though. But no room service that day.

Glad to know you are cruising again - had to get off the ship after that last day though!!!

Happy sailing!

As far as the ages for letting the children check themselves in and out, they asked me if I wanted me dd to have that privelege and she is 8. It is my understanding that the 8-9 year olds can check themselves in/out if the parents give approval when they initially register their child. Older than 9, I think it is automatic that the child can get themselves in and out of the lab. Hopefully someone else can verify this but I definately did not allow my dd8 to have check in/out priveleges...she would get lost in a heartbeat plus I would not feel like she was safe. JMHO

Ann - Even though Michael is coming up on 8 - and has been on several cruises in the past few years with DCL - I still wouldn't consider letting him have those type privileges - regardless. Comes from my military days, still a "tough old drill sergeant" under this fluffy Mommy exterior!
