Ok here's the thing

I'm booked for a trip in Aug, 7 nights at Coronado Springs @ $179/night

BUT....

We're getting an AP and have decided to look into using the discount on a deluxe resort. The resorts we are considering staying @ are...

The Polynesian

Wilderness Lodge

Yacht & Beach Club

Grand Floridian

So I have a few questions.....

1. Has anyone used an AP code in the past for standard/garden view rooms at any of the above mentioned resorts? If so what was the price?

2. If you had to rank these resorts, 1 being the one you enjoyed/ would enjoy staying at the most and 4 being the least what order would you put them in

3. Does anyone have any suggesstions on which buildings/ areas to ask for room in?

Thanks a bunch :)

We've used our AP for room discounts at deluxe resorts. It's usually about 40% off the rack rate. So you can pretty much figure out what the rate will be just by going to the disney site and looking at the rack rates for your dates.

If you're going in the value season you can get a deluxe resort (WL and AKL) pretty cheap... I've seen several people get $109.

Also I've senn $199 a night for the GF in value season. And $189 at YC/BC.

HI! I would pick the BWI! Here's why:

1. Great location: walk or boat to EPCOT or MGM
2. Very close to YC/BC and S/D - therefore giving you losts of places to choose to have breakfast and dinner.
3. You can see the EPCOT fireworks directly from the Boardwalk
4. You can walk to Fantasia Miniature Golf
5. You have all the activities, eateries and games on the Boardwalk when you get back from the parks.
6. Boat rentals, swimming pool
7 Very easy access to Enter and EXIT EPCOT.

I love the Epcot resort area of the BWI, YC/BC. If you can get a good rate then I would choose that over the Coronado. I have stayed at both places and would choose the BWI!

ENJOY!!!

We have stayed at the GF and WL. Both are great, although we thought the GF wasn't as well maintained as it has been the last time we were there (but that's another thread). I prefer the WL simply because of the theming- I love the lobby and the pool and you can take a boat to the MK. It is a short bus ride to T&T to catch the monorail. The WL will be the least expensive of the deluxes. We got a really good AP rate for our visit in February-just over 40% off the value season rate for a courtyard room. I think a garden view room at the GF was just under $200.00.

I have to agree with RenneDisney about the BWI. If you are going to stay in the Epcot/MGM area, that would by my choice. Superb location!

We used the DC code in October and had two rooms at AKL. We had a Savannah view for 129.00 an night and a standard view for 119.00 per night. The DC discount is usually close to the AP discount.

We really liked the AKL, very quiet, clean and Boma is great. The only fault is that it is farther from the Parks, except Animal Kingdom.

Good luck and enjoy whereever you stay.

Ps we are staying at CSR in 7 days and we are paying 109 with a code. You may be able to get that cheaper too.
