Booking a quick trip April 29-May 3 in the orlando area for our anniversary, which site is best and why
cheaptickets
expedia
travelocity
and priceline
which is the one with the least hassles and how do we go about getting our flight tickets and info. Thanks Kathy

Lots of my co-workers use Expedia, it's been recommended to me many times.
Have fun Kat! :goodvibes

For flights, I have never found that I get better deals through there versus going to the carrier directly. I don't think all carriers share their flight information, like JetBlue for example, if you are able to fly out of Buffalo. Can't really comment on hotels though.

Any one of the above except Cheaptickets. Big fee for booking and even bigger for cancelling. I will never ever use them again!

Also, check actual hotel sites. Sometimes they have the best prices. Same for flights. Which airport are you flying out of?

Usually, for flight tickets, it's a ticketless confirmation. You will just have a confirmation number for check in.

Detroit is where we want to fly out of.

For your flight, I would book directly with the carrier. I have found in comparing those travel sites to the actual airline site that the airline itself is cheaper. Just go to the Detroit airport website and they'll have links to all the airlines that fly out of there.
As far as room, also booking directly with the hotel seems cheaper most of the time. Are you staying at WDW or near somewhere else? Just be careful if you're going super 'cheap'. My DSis and I took one child each about four years ago to do a cheap March Break in Orlando and stayed near Universal Studios at an Econolodge or some such place - it was $35 a night and boasted that it was walking distance to US/IOA, and also had a shuttle and a Denny's right beside it. OUr room was disgusting, ants on the sink and in the bathroom, rotting couch in the courtyard outside where drunks partied every night - never again! We stay at WDW and drive anywhere else we want to go, even if we're not doing the parks.
Happy planning, have a great time!

I always look at kayak and farecaster to find out what the best rates are looking like before booking anywhere.

Hi,
We have used spirit air many times from detroit. Direct flights at good times. We have also used airtran. Both of these airlines are "no frills". If you sign up with spirit they will send you emails usually 2x a week.
Good luck:wizard:

DH and I are staying at Sheraton Vistana Villages on I-drive( we loved Sheraton Vistana Resort last year, we booked thru expedia. Flight (both direct) April29-May3 in a one bedroom villa for $950 canadian. We are flying NWA. Not planning on doing Disney (kids would kill us...although I may suggest TL or BB for a day LOL) Definately will do Downtown Disney and we are going to try International Drive ( I bought the trolley tickets). Looking forward to a relaxed night away. We plan on arranging the car when we get there unless we find a deal beforehand. Take Care and Thanks for your help Kat
