I was booked with Hojo, but then cancelled it because I can see my kids (3 and 6 years old) whining at disneyland to go back to the hotel to play there instead of enjoying disney. They love water and are almost always in our pool at home. I have 3 rooms booked and need to cancel 2. We are staying 4 nights. I have fairfield inn booked for $701 plus parking, Wyndham Garden Anaheim for $716, and Homewood suites for $908 plus parking (with 5% cash back after staying for going through cash back website).

I like the closeness of fairfield inn to the hotel, but the reviews haven't been great lately. I booked a premium view room there.

Wyndham garden is the cheapest since they don't charge for parking. Other than that, distance doesn't seem to bad to walk. We've stayed at Best western Stovall's Inn before so similar walk distance but entrance on the other side of disney. Anyone stay here before? Recommend it?

Homewood Suites Convention center has a 2 room suite which I think will be nice to come relax after lunch and not have just the beds to sit on. Also the kitchen is nice to keep a full gallon of milk, waters, sodas, etc. I was thinking of walking to the park in the morning with our kids, and then taking shuttle next door back and forth after the morning rush is calmed down. They also have breakfast and the weekday (M-Th) light dinners.

Where would you guys stay?

We’ve stayed at homewood suites. If you take advantage of the dinners I think it’s worth the extra cost. It was so challenging with folding our double stroller on the shuttle for toy story lot that we just walked. And that would give me pause to stay there again until my kids are older.

I will only have a single stroller. I figured the kids can take turns sitting in it in the park when they are tired. We've always just driven to Disneyland since we would stay a bit further except when we stayed at best western stovalls inn. I just cant figure out closeness vs breakfast/dinner/2 room suite. Are Wyndham garden Anaheim and Fairfield Inn pretty comparable hotels besides distance?

We stayed at Homewood Suites a few weeks ago, and loved it. As a pp mentioned, we walked in the morning and rode the Toy Story shuttle in the afternoon. We had a double stroller, and it was a little bit of a hassle, but not a huge issue. We talked about one parent walking with the stroller while there other rode the bus with the kids, but we ended up not feeling like we needed to do that. Honestly the walk didn’t feel that long to me. We’ll definitely stay there again.

No. HS is superior. It’s one of the newest properties in the area. The only comparable close one is courtyard inn by Marriott theme park entrance.

Spring Hill suites is the slightest bit closer.
I think residence inn main gate is closer.
They also have suites at park vue inn.

Fairfield is fine. I am a bit of a hotel snob and Platinum member with Marriott and use my points at FFI all the time. "Predictably mediocre" as I like to say. Nothing special but rooms have always been clean and recently "refreshed". I would not hesitate to stay there.

We are going next week so it'll be hot. Where do the buses for toy story pick up from at Disneyland? Right by security or on the outside? I don't know why I'm making it so complicated.

We're staying there for the first time in a few weeks. How long of a walk is it in the morning time-wise? Thanks in advance.

We like Homewood too...especially with a bigger group and/or a longer stay. We Uber over in the mornings and use the shuttles in the afternoon/evenings. Primarily because the shuttles start running 1 hour before opening and I want to already be in line at the parks by then. We also don’t need car seats.

We stayed at Fairfield last year. It was okay. Predictably mediocre is accurate. The big downside of us that will prevent us from staying again is the lack of continental breakfast; with 2 tween/teen boys we spend more on breakfast than an upgrade to a nicer hotel would have cost. Whoops.

We walked fairly leisurely, as my 6-year-old and my 70-year-old mom were with us, and it was probably about 15 minutes. Maybe 20, depending on how long the wait was to cross the street.

We've decided to stick with Homewood Suites. I'm a Hilton member too, so I'll be getting points too. We are planning on walking in the mornings to avoid the morning rush on the shuttles and then using them in the afternoon/evening. Thanks for all the help.

We really liked the Homewood Suites and have stayed there a few times. The rooms are spacious, clean and new. The breakfast is really superior for a hotel breakfast and the dinner is way more than a light snack. We typically would walk to the parks and take the TS shuttle back.
