We used to visit frequently, but it has been several years. My kids are older teens so their priorities are different. This is a short trip in the next couple of weeks, and we are trying to fit in our must dos. They won't be up for Rope Drop, but I will be awake to do whatever purchases, log ins, etc need to happen and we can buy Genie+ as needed. Can you help me figure this out?

MK: priorities are - Space, Thunder, 7 Dwarves, Tron, Haunted Mansion, Pirates, Small World

My thoughts are - log in at 7:00 and try to do Tron VQ then ILL (in that order); 7 Dwarves ILL; then set first G+LL - should that be Space or Big Thunder? I assume I can do our remaining priorities through G+LL after that?

EPCOT - priorities are - Guardians, Soarin, TT, Remy, Sp Earth, LwtL. It looks like EP has extended evening hours when we are there (staying at Swolphin)

Wake at 7:00 get Guardians ILL. Then which is a better first G+LL? How does one get on Remy?

DHS - only doing a couple of rides - RotR, Tower of Terror and maybe Runaway RR. Looks like it is an early entry morning - I might be able to get us up early for that since we plan to leave early to go to Universal.

7:00 - buy RotR ILL (how far out will return time be if I do it right at 7:00)? Then Rope Drop Tower of Terror then head to Railroad. Do I need Genie+ this day? We would maybe do SDD if it works out, but isn't a must.

I would appreciate any advice - this new system is very complicated!!

I think I would take advantage of EEH at MK if that fits your dates. Chip away at some of the rides on your list using G+ but some of the more difficult to get on might be accomplished in extended hours.

GotG, Remy will be your toughest to fit without early entry at Epcot but it's doable with G+ and some pixie dust.

You can skip G+ if you limit it to the named rides.

Kind of a wasted park ticket for your HS morning, Maybe combine Epcot / HS day with parkhopper / G+ purchase. Leaves a full day for Universal.

You won’t have any issues with MK. Probably Space first, but the only ones that go fast at all there as far as LL are Peter Pan and Jungle Cruise.

Epcot, if you want Remy and aren’t rope dropping, that’s your first LL - do it right after you get Guardians. Test Track might be gone by the time you can make a 2nd LL but with older kids you can use the single rider lane. Soarin is 3rd (or 2nd if TT is sold out).

For ILL you choose your return time (subject to availability) so get Rise for basically whenever you want. If you’re there for rope drop and only want those rides, Tower then Railway makes sense - most people rope drop Rise and Slinky. If you’re going to rope drop and are willing to pay for ILL, the other option is to get Genie instead (Slinky first, then the other two) and rope drop Rise. The downside there is that if Rise is down, you’re out of luck, whereas with an ILL, it would turn into an anytime pass.

I would argue that you don't need to do the ILLs right at 7am.

I'd book your VQ and regular LLs 1st, then follow with the ILLs.

In my experience the paid lightening lanes maintain availability longer, whereas some of the Genie+ LLs, like slinky dog, will book up very quickly, or at least take you to very late in the day for your return time.

Thank you all! We aren't especially worried about SDD. If it works out, then great, but if it doesn't then that is fine.

I understand that I can pick the time I want for ILL. For the G+LL if the return time when I first choose one is not what I want, is it easy to modify it?

Yes, you can modify your LL and just keep refreshing the page periodically until you get the window you want.

It's a bit cumbersome, but it works.

Even if the return window is later than you want, you can book it and then modify.

Earlier windows will frequently become available because people cancel.
