Need help with decision!!

I purchased a vacation package before I found DIS boards and purchased round trip with Mears. Since then I have heard horror stories about Mears. The worst being that I have to be picked up 3 hours before my return flight!

Here's where I need your opinion. If I cancel Mears it will cost me $50 and the cost of Mears is $50 so no use in doing that. Should I just chalk that up to a loss and spend the $90 RT for a towncar? It is only my DD10 and I. I hate to lose $90 of our spending money but sounds worth it if I don't have to put up with Mears. Your thoughts please!

We are using a towncar service and they are picking us up 2 hours before our departure time. Is the $90 worth 1 hour to you.

On the other end, we used Mears last trip and once you find where they are located and drag all your luggage to them, it is 50/50 if you sit and wait or are off right away, it all depends on whether the vehicle is full or not.

Thanks for the info, Gary. It gave me something else to think about.

I have given this a lot of thought and it is worth the $90 to be greeted at baggage claim, have someone help me with the luggage, be taken by the store, go directly to resort and have an extra hour in a park on Saturday so I think I'll go for it. Besides, I think my DD will get a kick of be chauferred and this trip is all about her (except for the part where I MUST meet Mickey )

BTW, I check with Mears to see if I could get an upgrade to a car and they said no. Bummer.

Believe me, the Mears is probably not costing you anything extra on your package.

Just out of curiosity, I once called a travel agent and got a vacation quote to Disney with Mears transfers.

The next day I called back and got a quote without Mears - it was the same price!!!!

Shatz, I think you will enjoy it, I know I am looking forward to using a towncar in April after using Mears on our first trip.
