Need help with dates for an open house

I want to old an open house for my At Home America business but Im stuck on the dates.

I could do it the Thursday before Thanksgiving ( but would people be in the Holiday spirit? and then I would also have to house decorated by then)

Or the Saturday after Thanksgiving ( but a lot of people would be out of town right?)

OR the Saturday after that ( the 7th) but would that be too late?


I know this is silly but would you give me your opinions please?
If you were going to do a Holiday open house when would you do it? tia

I'd say do it before the holidays, if you wait until after people will be busy doing other things. There's always too much to do between Thanksgiving and Christmas.

I agree with aahmom1, I think doing it before the holidays is the best idea. That close to the holidays people are probably already getting into the 'holiday spirit' and if not your party may be the thing that gets them there! Plus they won't be overbooked with stuff to do already not be able to attend.

Did you want the house to have your Christmas decorations up for the open house or doesn't it matter?

Thanks gang, I've decided youre right that the week before Thanksgiving will probably be best. So the 21st it is That means I have to hustle though and get some work done around here ( a few stray boxes around still and have to get the new floor in the dining room)

I think I will probably put up a few Christmas decorations but not the tree or anything major like that.

So what do you think for food? I put on the invitations "please drop in between 5 and 8"

SO I will need to have some H'orderves and some desserts I think I dont want to go all out but I want it to be fun Im inviting A LOT of people so I have to think about that too.
