I was hoping someone could help me with choosing a character breakfast. We've been to Storyteller's several times and wanted to try something different.
I was interested in Lilo and Stitch and wondering if they had any other characters that would show up?

I want to avoid the one's in the park since we are planning on eating breakfast and then driving home and I know if we are in the park it will be a battle to get the kids to leave...(oh ok..and me as well!)

Thanks for any ideas

Goofy's kitchen in the DLH. Good food (not great) lots of kid stuff too. They dance from time to time while you eat plus the characters come around.

I vote for Goofy's Kitchen. We have breakfast there on every trip.

I saw someone else post the characters they'd seen at Lilo & Stitch's breakfast, and it was the same ones we saw. (Not sure if it is always the same...?) They were Lilo, Stitch, Pluto, Minnie Mouse and Daisy Duck.

I know the line-up at Goofy's Kitchen changes. We saw (at dinner) Snow White, Belle, Cinderella, Chip, Goofy and Minnie. and Pluto was out front posing for pictures. A few days later while I was doing laundry, I saw through the windows a couple other characters. Other posters have mentioned many different characters, including some of the less common ones like Fairy Godmother and I think Peter Pan.

We loved both of these character meals, so really you can't go wrong with whichever you choose!

I have to agree with Goofys Kitchen...... We LOVED it!! and we where seated right where they did all the dancing and stuff... It was soooooooo much fun! It is a must for us this time! Good Luck!

I loooove Lilo and stitch my family does is everytime we go down there!

Just back this past Monday, and we did both Storyteller's and Lilo and Stitch.
Storyteller's was good, but the characters were all at least 45 minutes late, so we had to just sit there, waiting..and waiting...and waiting. :rolleyes1 My plans to book an early breakfast (8:00) so that we could get into the parks at a decent hour were kaput! The food was good, but I thought that the wait staff was a bit on the cranky side. Could of had to do with the lack of characters! Characters were (when they did show up) Chip and Dale, Koda and Kenai.
My boys love Lilo and Stitch, so that is always a fun one for us. Character interaction is usually good (not so great this past trip, however), and the characters tend to spend a fair amount of time at the tables. Characters usually are: Lilo and Stitch, Daisy, Minnie and Pluto. I like this one, as I can order off the menu, and do not have to eat a buffet! They actually told me when booking that buffet is the only option for breakfast, but I had no problem ordering just a Mickey waffle off of the menu!

subscribing...
DF and i are planning on mexican riviera cruise in June for our disneymoon, and figured sine it's the first time either of us have been to the west coast and don't know how many more opportunities there will be we have decided to go to DL for 3 day prior to the cruise. Any input ya'll have would be greatly appreciated!! We've done WDW many times but never DL.
Which would be a don't miss breakfast?

I really love both.....but Lilo and stich is much more relaxing, the characters came more then once to the table and Stich is soooooooo cuddly! The last visit Minnie and Daisy were there and I think Pluto, not 100% sure. Goofy's is much louder, seems a bit more rushed, but still tons of fun . We did L&S last 2 trips and we will do Goofy's this one.........yet to do Storytellers.....maybe next year!

We did Goofy's in July, last year in April we did Lilo & Stitch. I really liked Lilo & Stitch better than Goofy. We got a lot more character interaction with Lilo & Stitch then we did with Goofy. And we liked the food better at Lilo & Stitch, the peanut butter pizza was not a hit with my family...and my kids LOVE peanut butter!!

Thanks for all the response's. Keep them coming!!! We've been to Goofy's kitchen before and really enjoyed it but that was several years ago. We have never been to Lilo and Stitch and I'm wondering if it's worth trying out.

We did Goofy's last October and did not enjoy it except for the "dancing" time. The characters spent very little time at each table, and the food was cold. Maybe we hit an "off" morning. We saw Goofy, Pluto, Cinderella, Baloo, and Chip I think. Peter Pan had been there right before us as we caught him coming out the back door. Anyway, I must be in the miniority, but it was not a great experience for us. We are trying StoryTellers this year and the new Princess Breakfast at Ariel's Grotto.

Well, I'm sure my son will enjoy the characters anywhere we would go.

But what got us over to the Lilo/Stitch side was the constant mention of...pineapple scones.

And then I found out they also have rice on the buffet (going with the Hawaiian theme), and that swayed DH over even more (he's Korean, and grew up with rice all the time).

So, if pineapple scones and rice at breakfast do somethin' positive for ya, Lilo might be where you want to go.

What do I know, though, I haven't yet been there! :upsidedow

We have only been to Lilo and Stitch. We loved it! The restaurant was completely empty. The other tables only had adults at them so my kids were the only ones there. Granted we went in the off season. I thought the food was great- the Polynesian theme. My husband loved it too, and he is super picky.

We saw Pluto, Minnie, Daisy besides the Lilo and Stitch characters. I cannot remember if there were any others. The character interaction was great. We got lots of good pictures, and they spent a considerable time at our table.

I remember them doing a train line or something around the restaurant at some point w/ music.

Rice...Yummy! I might be sold.

Does anyone have the menu for Lilo and Stitch or remember what the buffet items were?

Not sure if this is up-to-date, but here's a link for the menus @ PPH restaurants:
http://www.dlresortinfo.com/Paradise/paradiserestaurants.html

ETA: I just read the menu myself and realized it does not mention a lot of the items we saw on the buffet in Sept. 2006. (The date on the menu is 2005.) So don't be scared off by the fact that it doesn't mention rice or other Hawaiian/Asian fare! You could always call as well.

Augh, it was only last week that I found some pictures of the buffet, showing the sign for the scones (and things in the background of the sign that would have been said scones) and another picture showing the rice cooker (only way to cook white rice) at the buffet. Where were those pictures?

9 days, then two more days for the Lilo breakfast....cannot wait!

We've been to every character meal except for Plaza Inn (just can't seem to give up prime park hour to have breakfast) and we absolutely love Lilo & Stitch's for breakfast. We love the hawaiian/polynesian theme. Everyone gets a lei when they walk in. We like to choose the first seating of the day. The character interaction is generally awesome since the restaurant hasn't filled up yet. There's dancing and games to keep the kids entertained. And we like the fact that you can order the buffet or order off the menu like at Storyteller's.
