Need help with anniversary cake

I need ideas for a 10th anniversary cake for DH & myself. Have thought about the mini castle cake, but I think I would like to customize a cake instead. Would like something different other than white cake with buttercream icing. I want it to be something really special.

Also, where is the best place to order the cake? Everyone seems to love Boardwalk & GF bakeries. I can't decide if I want it delivered to the restaurant or to our room after our arrival so we don't have to carry it around.

The Gf bakery will only deliver to the GF rooms, a GF restaurant, a GF cruise or through private dining at another resort. Or Pick up. BW I believe is the same but at the BW.

GF can come up with some amazing things. I am having them recreate the top layer of my wedding cake (I was married in wdw last year and the GF did my wedding cake) it will be almond cake with Baileys mousse. It will be an ivory fonadant cake with pink roses. I would give them a call or call GF private dining!

Hi, My family and I just got back yesterday from WDW. We went for our 11th wedding anniversary. We stayed at the Grand Floridian. On the first night (anniversary) we ate at 1900 Park Fare and I had a custom anniversary cake sent to our table. We had a Mickey and Minnie Wedding topper on our wedding cake so I had them make a anniversary cake with a Mickey and Minnie white chocolate topper, rose and a chocolate inscription scroll. I couldnt believe how it came out. My wife was shocked! It was amazing! It tasted even better. White cake w/white chocolate mousse. It was a nice size cake. There was 5 of us and still had 3/4 of the cake left. We sent a piece to our neighboring tables which they aprreciated and our waitress boxed up what was left and put it in our fridge in the room. We snacked on it during our stay. Call the cake hotline and dont let them talk you into buying a standard cake. Its cheaper, but doesn't compare and they usually are a frozen cake that they thaw out and bring to your table. I will submit a photo when I download them or I can email them to you if you like

I would love to see the pics. We will be having lunch at the GF cafe while our DDs are at the Wonderland tea party so we could have it then. Or I could wait until we eat at 1900 Park Fare for dinner. I've heard such wonderful things about the GF bakery! We are staying at WL, but haven't heard much about their cakes. I love the castle cake, but just want something different.

I love your cake! Thanks for posting the pic. I'm saving it in my favorites. Hopefully, there's a way to email them a picture & get the same one. They don't always do very well with description alone. Some people get beautiful cakes, & some of them aren't so great.
