I am going to WDW and will be on the dining plan for 4 nights next month. I haven't been to WDW in almost 10 years so I need help/opinions on my ADRs. I have two kids ages 5 and 2. I currently scheduled the following:

5/24 5:15 p.m. Dinner at Crystal Palace
5/25 2:40 p.m. Lunch at CRT

5/26 5:30 p.m. Dinner at Narcosees

5/27 8:10 a.m. Breakfast at O'Hana's
5/27 5:30 p.m. Dinner at Hollywood & Vine with Fantasmic Show

5/28 11:40 a.m. Lunch at LeCellier
5/28 5:00 p.m. Dinner at Chef Mickys

5/29 4:30 p.m. Dinner/Show at Hoop Dee Dooh Dah
5/29 7:30 p.m. Carriage Ride

Any thoughts on the above? Is MM better than H&V for dinner? What do you think about Hoop Dee Dooh or should I pay OOP and use my 2TS elsewhere? I will be at disney from 5/22 and departing 5/30 but we are only on the DP for 4 days. I will pay OOP for the other meals. THanks for all your help on any suggestions or opinions.

my first thought is THAT'S A LOT OF FOOD! my second thought is THAT'S A LOT OF TIME SPENT EATING!

it's also five nights/six days, but your post says you're going for four nights? your credits will expire at midnight on the day you check out of your resort/go off the dining plan... also, w/only four nights, you will have used up all your credits after your first two and a half meals! narcoosees is 2 credits, 1 for CP and 2 for CRT...that's a LOT of oop meals!

also, you will be in magic kingdom two days back to back? you might want to consider starting and ending w/MK, not doing them two days in a row...

i would cut out some meals... are you married to going to narcoosees? if not, i'd skip it... i'd also skip breakfast at 'ohana, and find stitch in the parks... i'd keep CP and LeC and H&V... and maybe switch Chef M's to your last night instead of HDDR...

just my $.02...

Looks good to me but I would change HV fantasmic to MM. :goodvibes :goodvibes. Narcoossees was amazing!!!:goodvibes :goodvibes

THank you for your input! I was going back and forth with the dinner package at H&V. I will try to switch it with MM's instead! Although I will be at WDW for 9 days starting 5/22, I will be offsite the first 5 days and will be staying at SSR starting on 5/26 and departing on 5/30 which is why I will only have dining for 4 days and will have to pay OOP for anything else!
I will try to move chef mickey's for breakfast instead for 5/30 and also maybe skip one or two other ones! I also think I have alot of ressies!! I was trying ti limit them but of course my kids would love to see the characters as much as possible!
I appreciate the feedback!!:goodvibes

I see from your kids' ages that you haven't been to WDW with children before. It takes much more time to tour the parks with children. I am sure that you want to make this the most magical trip ever. In our opinion, that means seeing and doing as much stuff as possible in each of the theme parks.

The Magic Kingdom takes at least a day to tour. (We take 2) Epcot takes at least a day to tour. (We take 2). MGM Studios takes a day to tour. Animal Kingdom takes a day to tour. Each and every one of the theme parks has something for your kids to do. None of them are skippable in our family's opinion.

Something you must keep in mind is that table service meals take up a lot of time. Two in one day is a lot of time and a whole lot of food. You need to allot at least 1 hour for each table service meal, if not a 1 and 1/2. Keep in mind that, since some of your ADRs are outside the parks, you will have to allow the extra time for travel. While the Disney transportation system is quite good, it still takes away from your theme park time. Travel to and from a destination some times requires 1 hour.

I make all my table service meal reservations in the parks. We get up early. Eat a light breakfast. Arrive at the parks prior to official opening. Stop for a semi-early lunch (11:00 a.m.), Purchase a snack at mid-day. Schedule ADRs for late evening (7:45 p.m. or 8:00 p.m.). This way, we can tour the parks efficiently throughout the day, have time for breaks and, by the time our ADR rolls around, we are ready for a nice sit down meal. We also still have time for the night time entertainment.

We have two days "down time" during our vacation and this is the day we schedule the Hoop Dee Doo Review. I make our reservations for either the 7:30 p.m. show or the 9:30 p.m. show. This gives us all day long to do whatever we want without being rushed to get to the HDDR. We loved the show and the food at the HDDR. They have great fried chicken, bbq ribs, corn on the cob, salad, baked beans, rolls and strawberry shortcake. I think your family would thoroughly enjoy it.

Now....all of the above having been said, we have eaten at Crystal Palace and LeCellier and both have excellent food and service.

If it were me, I would cut down the schedule to one table service a day and make the reservations for dinner.

Hope this helps a bit, Lisa
