This is our first ever trip to Disney, so any help would be GREATLY APPRECIATED. We really don't know anything about the area, and the books we bought are mainly only about the Disney Parks and not so much about the resorts or surrounding area.
Here is my dilemma....
We rented a house for a week (since the "Family of 4 deal" Disney deal for a family of 5 was CRAZY expensive)... at any rate... we found a really nice house but can't check in until Saturday (March 3rd) but our flight arrives Friday March 2nd -- saved about $300 going a day ahead of time.
So...we need a one night stay someplace, and I have about $300 in Disney dollars from my Disney Credit card and was hoping to "splurge" a bit..since we never get to do that. We booked a dinner in one of the Disney restaurants, and I would love to stay in one of the Disney resorts, but not sure which would be the most fun for our kids (ages 4,6 and 8).
Anyone have any ideas??? We would love to be able to see fireworks the first night -- do any of the resorts or Downtown Disney have places where you can see them even at a distance? Any of them have characters or any other cool things that are not publicized??
I was thinking of staying in Downtown Disney, but I don't know what the other resorts have that would be as entertaining
I want to get as much into a one night stay in Disney as possible!!!
HELP.....
