We are taking a 15 year old who goes to school with our daughter. He is a big High School Musical, Ashley Tisdale, and Corbin Blue. He also has done school plays and is a member of the high school chorus and Drama Club.
He is being raised by his aunt and is really a great teen who tries not to let anything get him down. Beleive me there is plenty tht could get him down if he let it.
Anyway does anyone have any suggestion on how or who I can contact about our upcoming trip to see if he can be a parade leader or something to make his first visiit to the World more Magical?:wizard:

Thanks!

If you dine at the Coral Reef in Epcot, you may be able to get a diver to hold up a welcoming banner. You could definitley get personalized menus there and at a number of other restaurants (although I'm a newbie here and are not sure just which other restaurants)

Thanks for your info.We will be dinning there on Jan. 5 at 1:00pm. I will search the resturant boards for a phone number for the Coral Reef. Maybe I can Call DD and see if they can note it on our dinning reervations as well.:thumbsup2

I apprecaite your sugestions. We have been many times however this will more than likely be his only trip.:sad1: That is why I want to make it as magical as possible.:wizard:

I don't think there is any way to get in the parade, other than just good luck and being in the right place at the right time. There are so many people who go to WDW with deserving stories (and I'm not saying your guy isn't deserving), but I think they just have to be a bit 'hard' and not do special favours other than randomly.

i think to get in the MK parade, if you are at the starting location earlier in the day you have the best chance of being chosen - I've also heard matching outfits helps.

I will say if you want some special Disney magic for him, you should plan on doing it yourself. While it would be great for him to be selected to participate in a parade, there are so many visitors to WDW that guaranteeing that would be impossible.

Here are some suggestions that I can think of:
--visit guests services @ the parks and get a first-time visitor button (they were doing this last Dec during our last trip, hope this is still happening)
--think about ordering a special cake or dessert in advance from one of the bakeries or contact the restaurant (in advance) to see if you can have something special made & brought to the table
--order a cool arrangement of a candy bar cake (made with wrapped chocolate bars) or a snack basket sent to your room from the WDW florist
--sign up for a special behind the scenes tour of MK or Epcot, or do the Family Magic Tour at MK where they can skip, hop, act silly and have a great time while searching around the entire MK.
--encourage them to have a good time, maybe buy a silly hat or t-shirt for him/them to wear and enjoy being @ WDW where that kind of thing is still cool!
--if you want to really go all out, contact Jane at gifts of a lifetime (search for it on google) and arrange for a treasure hunt or other special event. I did this for my DS/DH in December and she had them going to every country in Epcot, searching for clues and participating in special events--it was something we won't ever forget.

Again, not trying to rain on your parade but we find that the most magical things happen when we least expect them. By arranging for our own "magic" we often have other wonderful things happen to us. Hope you have a terrific time on your trip!

Sorry, I don't have a clue how to go about it. But I wanted to suggest you for sure do the High School Musical thing at MGM. That would be great fun esp. since he loves it. I am sure he will have a magical time. I think some of the magic you make yourself, and other magic just happens!:wizard: One of our most magical moments was riding the Dumbo ride with the fireworks going off all around us. It was just that we happened to be there at the right moment. Have a great trip!

Thanks 3littlehalls and I agree with making your own magic because out of the 14 visit we have made the most magical one was a surprise visit 5 years ago over MLK weekend. It was freezing but still plenty of magic that weekend.

I just want this trip to be really special for him.
