We are staying at CBR May 18-24th. While we will have a car, we would rather take the transportation system. Here's where I need advice:
1- going to FW for Hoop Dee Doo at 7:15pm--When should we catch a bus to MK & get boat to FW? Also, when Hoop gets over will we be able to go back the way we came since MK is scheduled to close at 7pm? I don't want to be stranded w/3 kids.

2- what is the best way to get to Boardwalk for the evening & back?

3- If we want to be at AK for EE on Monday which I assume is 8am what time should we be at a bus stop?
Thanks for any advice. Sorry this is so long. I just want to be prepared & not confused.:D

Getting there do as you are thinking--it's fast and easy. Getting back you should be able to take a bus from the campground to Epcot and then transfer there to the CBR. Otherwise you'll have to bus to DTD and then transfer to CBR.

To get there take the bus to MGM and then transfer to a BW bus. To get back take a cab. Otherwise you'll have to go through DTD and that could take you over an hour. You decide $8 cab ride or 75 minutes on buses/waiting for buses with tired kids.

7:15ish. If you miss the bus it could be up to twenty minutes before the next one comes along.

Hoop Dee Doo ---- I agree about taking the hotel bus to the Mk & then the boat. The last two times we have been to the HDD - there have been busses waiting after the show that brought you right back to the hotel!! Worked out great.

There is no bus from MGM to BW you'll either need to walk or take the boat.

For the Hoop Dee Doo, and the Boardwalk, if you have the car, you might as well use it. Resort to Resort is not always the easiest, especially with potentially tired kids. However, here are your best Disney Transport options:

Since the MK is closing at 7:00 that night, you could get to the Hoop Dee Doo easily, but returning would be tricky. An option if you wanted to, would be from Fort Wilderness, take the bus marked WILDERNESS LODGE & TRAN/TICKET CTR to the TTC. From there, catch the Monorail to Epcot. (Be sure to ask to ride up front). Once at Epcot, catch the bus to CBR. Although it may not be the fastest route, it includes a trip on the Monorail which is definetly a lot of fun. And actually, it might be faster than transferring at DTD.

For the Boardwalk, you can take a bus to the Studios, and then transfer to the Boat. The first stop on the boat is the Swan & Dolphin... if you want, you can exit out there, and it's a hop, skip & jump (5 min walk) to the Boardwalk. Otherwise, it's another 10-15 minutes till the boat actually gets there. To return to CBR, reverse the process if the Studios is still open. If it isn't open, you'd have to go to DTD and transfer there. The Boardwalk is not far from CBR, 5 minute car ride at tops, so, this one, you might as well drive. Parking is free.

As for AK... I'd recommend being out there between 7:15-7:30. Depending on what stop you're at, the bus might have to go all the way around CBR. From there, it's not a long bus ride to AK.
