Need help understanding renting

If I rent points, do I also have to pay sales tax or other hidden costs? Or is that included in the cost of the points.

I have 210 BCV points available (please E-mail if interested), and I can tell you that when I rent out my points there will be no hidden costs. The cost per point is all you'll pay.

And from what I can tell from these boards, most people rent their points that way. Now, when you pay that cost does seem to be different from person to person.

Some folks require a deposit, then ask for a portion of the total when booking is complete, and then collects the rest a certain number of days out from the reservation date. But again, the cost per point seems to be final.

Thank you for the info. I might be interested in your points. I was looking for a 2BR at Old Key West and figured I would need 176 points. I'll have to check out BCV and see how many points I would need.

Just in case you didn't know, you can use BCV points to stay at OKW. The fact that they are BCV points simply allows an earlier window for BCV booking - 11 months out.

A room at OKW could still be booked using the same points as far out as 7 months. You've got flexibility to stay at any of the DVC resorts, as long as there is availability.
