ok. i need everyone's help selling to DW to go to WDW by our selves for MNSSHP and the take DW and DD back to MVMCP. if anyone has ever done this can you help sell it? i know we can do it and this WDW addiction is getting to be get fun. WDW = Never Never Land for us. thanks for all of the great help!!!!!!!! :goofy: :tigger: :tink:

Well what I did might not work for you... it involved a backrub and adult personal affection ;) ....After which my DH will agree to most anything...
How ever, it never hurts to do more then your share of laundry folding, moping the floor, change the sheets, backrub and foot rub... you know what she likes!
A good romantic dinner, with wine, during which you sigh and say some thing like" This almost reminds me of how wonderfull that dinner at(insert WDW rest. name here) was, and how wonderful and relaxed you look...."
Or with Valentines Day coming a box of Choclate, and a flower arangement with a Disney toy/floral pick and a card with a Voucher for a "Romantic" get away for 2 to WDW... Pre paid, non refundable!
And then for the 2 trip. Guilt. Have such a good time by your selfs that while you are there sigh ever once in a while and say how much you enjoy just the 2 of you, but is that fair? So you can then plan a "family" trip to ensure the entire family gets to bond.
Best of luck.
I usually just plan and tell DH we are going, he works so hard and such long hours he is happy just not to have to make a lot of decisions!

wow and i thought i was creative. keep the ideas coming

I'm not going to be much help. When we make our Disney plans each year my wife asks "we're only going twice this year?"

This is no kidding, one year we went down for 11 nights for the family vacation. We drove down and back on this trip (we live in Ohio). We drove straight through on the way home arriving around 5 am on a Thursday morning. That Sunday our kids went to camp. We dropped them off around 3:30 pm and drove straight to the Columbus airport and caught a 7:30 return flight to Orlando for 5 more nights, just the adults.

I would go the other way .I think MNSSHP is more for the kids. And MVMCP more adult driven (food and soforth). If not just take the kids and leave her.

Well, for us, I just make the plans and then tell my husband. He grumbles, I tell him it doesn't cost that much and then he says "just remind me a couple of days before". And we go about eight times a year (short trips). It takes some planning. A mere mention. A couple of days later, more details "honey, we could get......" Or "we can now ride Expedition:Everest". On the trip without the daughter, tell her you can have a night out with just the two of you. On the trip with your daughter, have a fun family meal.

DH was really on the fence about going on our last WDW vacation since we've been to WDW at least once a year since our honeymoon and money was a little tighter. So I bought the airfare for his birthday :rolleyes2

trying to get me in trouble lol love the ideas so far. keep them up

The deal is that DH gives a suggestion on where he wants to stay (he's the one who got us staying at the CR, next trip will be our 3rd visit) and I make all the arrangements. I call for the resorts, the adr's and the airfare. I say just book the trips and take it from there. :)

figure out what it would cost for 2 trips' worth of tickets for WDW. THEN look at the price of an AP. Typically the AP is cheaper when doing 2 trips in 1 year...so you could explain that you'd be "saving" money that way!
