Need Help renting a car.

Hey guys! I need your info and help. We are going to have 8 ppl going with us total. 4 kids and 4 adults. I'm looking to rent some kind of vehicle to drive down to Disney. Is a Mini-van the best I can do? THANKS!

A lot of places rent 12-15 passenger vans. We never rented one to drive down to Disney, but we have rented these from Dollar and Enterprise once we were in Orlando. We had a party of 8 also and it was wonderful to have enough room to spread out without killing each other. Not to mention that there was plenty of room for our luggage, strollers, a wheelchair and all that other stuff. One thing I will say though, those large vans don't ride that smoothly and the seats are not too plushy. You might be able to find someone that rents out custom vans-we tried, but the places we inquired with didn't deal with that. It depends who you have around you to rent from. Oh, and most car rentals have regular passenger vans, but they don't list them on their web sites...you have to call and ask for pricing. They are usually extremely expensive-so be prepared. We wound up paying around $750 for 8 days. If our group had not been so adamant about sticking together at Disney, it would have been cheaper for us to rent two SUV's.
