Need help re: Simon Visa Card

I was reading on here about using a Simon Visa card for offers. I had been using my debit card linked to my checking or using a regular credit card which I am really afraid to do.
What do most of you use for credit card offers?? What is the safest and can be used on most offers?? Also, what about Paypal virtual debit - how easy is it and is it widely accepted??

I know - lots of questions. I have been slowly building my acct. balances on QR, SR, CD, RHC, CR, and many others but I also WANT TO PAY FOR ALL MY NEXT DISNEY VACATION with earnings. So please - any help given will be greatly appreciated!!!

I definitely would not use a debit card linked to your checking account. That is probably one of the least safest things to do. At least with a credit card, your credit card company can fight for you if your card is charged incorrectly before your whole account is wiped out!

I've been using a virtual visa card that I earned doing from freeride.com which has been working out fine, except that it is running low. I know that many people are using the simon card fairly successfully. That is what I'm going to try next. If you do a search for the simon card on this board, I'm sure you'll find more info about it.

I never use my debit card and only occasionally use my Disney Visa for offers. I regularly purchase Simon Visa cards to use for offers. I only use my Disney Visa for offers with companies I have experience with (Scholastic, regular retailers, etc.) I really haven't found any problems with using my Simn Visa for offers. It is really helpful for those offers that despit ecancellation want to continue to charge

A Simon Visa card only cost $2 and is really worth the lack of headaches associated with some of these offers

here are my choices when doing card offers ..listed in preferred order:

1. Citi or Bank of America Virtual credit cards (if you happen to have their credit cards, you can use this virtual cc feature. Let me know if you have trouble finding it at their site..they dont advertise it prominently enough)
~ because both allow you to set a spending limit and expiration date for the virtual #s

2. PayPal "non-virtual" Debit card
~ only uses your paypal funds and not any backup funding (like your checking account or credit card you have on file at paypal) *you can always have them link and use your backup funding if you like but for reward site purposes, i wouldn't advise this.
~ any unauthorized charges or any charges that exceed your PP funds will be denied and will not tap into your checking account.

3. Simon gift accounts
~ charges only 2 dollars for activation and is sent to your email in a day or 2.

~ can be bought at drugstores and activation fees are usually $3-$5 depending on the value of the card.

4. your regular credit card or debit card (something I highly don't recommend for doing offers)

thanks, did you have any offer do unauthorized charges on your PP virtual card too?

I'm hearing so many people have problems with this even though it SHOULD be safe to use, it's been such a nightmare

I would stick with a CC that you can monitor regularly online. There have been some posts about how the advertisers are reversing or denying the cc gift cards because people don't have enough money on them for the offers (just the trial and thus no need to worry about canceling). I wouldn't invest too much money on a simon card but it might be worth a try to get comfortable with doing rewards.

I use my discover card and have yet to have a problem. They are very quick to hold charges that are fraudulent and will fight against websites (I bought a textbook a few years ago that never came and discover was great!).
