We would like to be able to see Disney decorated for Christmas but wish to avoid the Christmas crowds. When is the best time to go and still experience the decorations? How soon are the decorations put out around the parks?

The first two weeks of December is the best time to go. The parks and resorts are all decorated for Christmas but the crowds historically are at their lowest levels. We went in December 99 and enjoyed the decorations and nothing was more than a 10-15 minute wait...most rides were practically walk-ons and the weather was beautiful.

I believe most the the decorations start going up the weekend after Thanksgiving and they come down within the first few days in January.

BTW...where in AR are you from? My parents live in Cabot. :)
