After reading all the rave reviews here, I thought we'd try to eat at Mythos between enjoying IOA in the afternoon and attending HHN that night. Can any of you experts tell me:

-If I can make a reservation of any sort?
-If so, how late could I make it for (we plan to do Stay & Scream)?
-If not, what's my best plan of attack?

Thanks!

Hmm...not sure if I want to invest my whole late afternoon to eat there. I guess I was thinking we might sneak in at 4:30 or something and eat through most of the wait between park close and HHN (clearly wishful thinking!). Perhaps we'll just pop over there midday on one of our non-HHN days instead.

Ah well, I had a feeling it might be too good a plan to pull off.

Thanks for the great info!

Mythos is like going to a movie, that's what it feels like when you walk out.
You will probably have some food left over to take back to your hotel room. After eating such a big meal, you'll be tired, and want to go sleep. You could eat there early at noon, rest at the hotel room, put the left overs in a cooler for later, then go back to the park for HHN. But I wouldn't go straight from Mythos to HHN.

I actually had the same idea about having an early dinner in between going to the Studios during the day and HHN at night - however, found out yesterday when I called Mythos that they close at 3 on all HHN days. So, sadly, I am not going to get to eat there (it's our one day at Universal and we definitely want to hit the Studios before IOA/HHN) but I guess I can try CityWalk around 5 and still make it to HHN when it opens. If you are going to be at IOA anyway during the day at least you can try for lunch at Mythos.

What everyone really needs to think about, is where they will eat after HHN. Sure, it's easy to get food before, and drink stands are everywhere in the park. But after the event, you're going to be hungry. Most of the restaurants in the park and citywalk will be packed or closed down. That's why it's a good idea to have leftovers in a cooler back at the room. Visit Mythos for lunch, order an extra item, and you can take it back. Bring gallon zip lock bags in your suitcase to put food in. If you don't have a cooler, put ice in the sink and place your container on top with a towel over it. If that's too much work, the TGIFridays and Orlando Ale House across from the parking garage are open late.

if you have the chance, don't miss mythos.........really really good and great service.
last time i ate there, my son ordered the salmon and loved it.
i ordered something else and hated it, the server asked me if there was something wrong with the food. i told her not really, i just didn't like what i ordered.

she had me select something else, brought it to me, added dessert to it and did not charge for any of it.

wow........and the second entree i had was fantastic.

yes, mythos closes at 3 in the afternoon. you can make a ressie one week in advance for this place.
