I'm so excited, I booked a mother/daughter trip for DD5 and I. She is a major princess freak. I've been trying to book but things are a bit tight so when the dining plan was announced I jumped.

We are doing a short trip, just 3 nights. We are doing 2 days of park tickets non hopper. I tried to make it as inexpensive as possible. I may rethink the hopper though because I may want to take her to Epcot. I know Magic Kingdom is a definate and then I was thinking MGM but perhaps Epcot for the Princess dining.

I need advice on the meals. I was thinking of doing Cindy's breakfast and just paying for mine and saving the TS meals. It seems a waste to use two for this. DD also loves Minnie so I was thinking maybe doing Chef Mickeys for one meal. Then maybe the dinner at GF.

DD is actually a great eater so we'll get the value out of her meals easily!

I just want it to be totally magical for her.

Is it possible to upgrade just one day for the hopper or would I need to do both?

Try the Cinderella dinner at Grand Flordian. It has cinderella, prince charming, Fairly Godmother and two mice. You could go without using a day on you park ticket. I have not been yea (going in May) but I have read many wonderful posts about it.
We did to Crystal Palace for Lunch with Pooh & gang last year and the kids loved it. We also plan on doing Ohana breakfast with stitch at the Poly and are not sure if we will visit the park that day or not.

I've never done CRT but I cannot see spending that much just to see a character that you can see elsewhere, even if it is eating in the castle.

I think breakfast at CRT still has the Princesses. If the focus is going to be on Princesses, I'd skip MGM as I don't know of the Princesses making regular appearances there. EPCOT has them doing meet and greets in their respective countries in addition to the meals at Akershus. You'll find Aurora and Belle in France, Jasmine in Morocco, and Snow White in Germany. There's also a Princess meet and greet at the judges tent in Mickey's Toontown Fair.

My daughter is a total princess freak too! When we told her that we were going back to Disney she said "Mom, we have to eat with the princesses, we just have to!" She was 2 1/2 yrs. old the last time we went! This time we are doing the Norway princess breakfast and 1900 Park Fare at the Grand Floridian.

There are princesses at MGM. The first autograph in my kids autograph book last trip was Cinderella from MGM. We also say Snow White there, but I agree, you'll see more princesses at Epcot. There is a website by Steve Soars which has the entertainment schedules for the park and he tells you when and where different characters are located. http://pages.prodigy.net/stevesoares/index.htm

My DD6 loves the princesses too! Her favs (for now) are Jasmine and Ariel. They only meal they appear at are in Norway (which we have done 3 times now.) We have also done Park Faire for dinner twice-this is now our fav, we are going back in Sept. And I say this even though my DD will be the first to admit that Cinderella isn't her fav-she still gets excited seeing her, Prince, and the mice. The mice actually spent more time with her than the "major" ones. Even though we have been twice we haven't seen the FG either time-we do eat late, we have closed the place both times.

If you can only do 1 I would recommend Park Faire over Storybook Princesses (Norway). Of course there is only 1 princess at PF (in Jan. 06 we did have a surprise visit from Aurora at PF!) Norway had, on our last visit for her 6th birthday, Belle, Jasmine, Aurora, Cinderella, and Ariel. Can't remember about Snow White. The reason we like PF better is simply put-the food. My daughter commented that they have all hav favs-mac 'n cheese, pizza ("this is the best") broccoli, carrots, etc. and the food is down lower so they can serve themselves. The adult food is very good too! And leave plenty of room for dessert. Another major dif between the two is that GF is buffet, PS is served (no seconds) and of course, no admission required for PF and it's just a short monorail ride from MK.

Like I said, we are doing PF this time, but skipping Norway. We haven't done CRT, I just don't want to hastle get ADR's.

Happy dining!
