Hi, my wife, my sister and I will be visiting WDW the week of April 22 for 7 days, we are all in our late 20s and have park hoppers. My wife and I plan to be in the park April 22 through the 28 while my sis will only be with us on the 23, 24, 26 and 27 since she will be attending a conference at the Dolphin. My wife and I did Disneyland a few years ago but none of us have done WDW in the last 10+ years. We are more into rides but do appreciate most things Disney.

I would like yalls thoughts on what parks to do each day. Mainly, what parks to get our first 3 fast passes in everyday as we can part hop after that. Sister only doing 4 days, my wife's Dark Side Half Marathon and trying to it the morning extra magic hours complicate things further. Luckily my sis's schedule matches the AM EMH for Magic Kingdom and Epcot, her other two days I filled in with AK and DHS, I am unsure what we should focus on on my wife and I's other days in the parks. Below is what I have so far:

Sunday April 22 - AM EMH DHS - Just wife and I after her Darkside Half Marathon
Park:??? Maybe MK since we probably won't be able to utilize EMH cause race?

Monday April 23 - AM EMH AK - Wife, sister and I, sister after her flight gets in so she will join us around lunch
Park:AK - Wife and I can rope drop Pandora and get FP for the three of us in AK that afternoon, could we have trouble getting FP for Pandora with it only being 60+2 ahead of time?

Tuesday April 24 - PM EMH Epcot - Wife, sister and I
Park:MGM (wish we would of known about EMM in MK, seems like a cool thing)

Wednesday April 25 - PM EMH MK - Wife and I
Park: ???

Thursday April 26 - AM EMH Epcot - Wife, sister and I
Park: Epcot - Rope drop EMH

Friday April 27 - AM EMH MK - Wife, sister and I
Park: Magic Kingdom - Rope drop EMH

Saturday April 28 - AM EMH AK - Wife and I
Park: ??? Maybe rope drop AK during EMH to do Pandora again but don't have to book FP there...

My wife and I were pretty good at playing the paper fast pass game at Disneyland back in 2015 but this advanced reservation thing has me stressed out. I am interested to hear what parks yall think we should consider on which days given our constraints (my sis's schedule and my wife marathon).

Thanks,
Brian

My only advice is to plan on AK on your 3rd or 4th day so that you maximize your chance at getting a FP+ for FoP. Apparently they are easier to come by these days, but I would still anticipate it being difficult to get on your first or second day. Especially if you want an AM slot. I'll be surprised if you are able to get one for the AM on the 23rd at your 60 Day mark. Not impossible, just difficult. If you are going to rope drop AK that day and go straight to FoP, you can expect about a 45-60 minute wait at minimum. 24th I'd definitely take advantage of the EMH at Epcot. World Showcase in the evening is pretty cool, especially you like to partake in the Drinks Around the World. If not, snacks around the world works too...LoL!! Always take advantage of MK EMH, especially the PM so I'd plan on MK on the 25th. To me AM EMH is the same result as regular rope drop, but PM EMH the crowds start to thin drastically after the fireworks.

What is EMM at MK you mentioned for the 24th?

- I don't think you'll be able to utilize the EMH in the morning your first day due to the race, so it would be smart to go to a different park like MK as EMH will probably draw a bigger crowd to DHS
- On second day I don't like your chances of getting a FP this close, but it never hurts to try! If you can't I would do AK on Wednesday and try to get an AM FP, go to MK in the evening
- I would also highly recommend PM EMH in EP, it's my personal favorite park at nighttime
- Side note: I love that you slipped and called it MGM, brought back a flash of warm memories for me :)
- With the open days I think it would be best to count how many times you get to go to each park and figure out if there is one you don't have enough time in! Also have to consider your favorites of course!

What is EMM at MK you mentioned for the 24th?

William, it is Early Morning Magic. It is considered a table service event at Magic Kingdom where you get into Fantasy Land at like 7:45am and can ride Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, Peter Pan's Flight and The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh as many times as you want until the park opens. There is also a breakfast buffet for you at Pinocchio Village Haus until like 10:00am. I found it here: https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/en_CA/dining/early-morning-magic/.

William, it is interesting that you prefer the PM EMH vs the AM EMH. From what I have read on here, not many people get out to the AM ones but the PM ones are hit or miss. I might have to rethink this.

Thanks for the reply, both of yall have mentioned that the second day might be too close for a FP for Flight of Passage. I might have to move some stuff around if I can't make it work in order for my sis to get to ride it now.

Yes, last time I was there, it was MGM and still haven't broken the habit when planning this. I will have to mull all of this over some more with these comments in mind.

Thanks,
Brian

Oh yeah, I forgot all about the EMM thing. Thanks for reminding be. In terms of the AM EMH, it has been my experience that going to rope drop for regular opening hours vs. AM EMH there hasn't been much of a difference when it comes to the "rush" of people trying to get into the park. There may very well be less folks out there, but they can still only let so many people in at one time and it is the same experience as far as getting into the park. In terms of knocking out a few attractions or doing MnGs the time difference is probably slightly in favor of EMH as opposed to normal opening, but to me it's negligible. Maybe 5 or 10 minutes difference until about 10a in both scenarios. Now for PM EMH every time we have been there for them, once those fireworks are over people start flocking to gates. We have watched the last firework blow and then go walk right onto Thunder Mountain before. I will say that this really is most effective strategy in the summer months when the typical park closing is at 10p with EMH going until Midnight as opposed to the more normal 8p or 9p with EMH going unitl 10p or 11p. Something about that 10p to 12a seems to have a lot of folks ready to throw in the towel after the fireworks...Lol!! Again, as I'm sure you know for every opinion in favor of something on the boards, there are several opposed but this has been my experience over the years. I prefer AM EMH at AK and HS, and I prefer PM EMH at MK and Epcot.
