Need help on Tablets

I know everyone is having tablets on sale and alot of Ipads,but I need to know which of these two tables is the best: Kindle Fire HD 32GB with lifetime tech with 8.9 screen or Acer Iconia with Quad-Core 16GB? I know there's alot of difference between the GB's but other than that which is the best.Acer is 8 inch screen.There are going to tons of tablets on sale and I can not get out to do Black Friday sales this year,and I have found out in the past that sometimes with tablets you get what you pay for.I purcased one from a brand I had never heard of and it was a great deal,but didn't last long and is having to be replaced by company.This one is for a adult,who would check FB,play only a very few games and maybe watch a movie,so since I really don't know much tablets,which one is the best and why?Also about $100.00 more for the Kindle Fire HD.Any help would be great.
