Hello everyone

I am new here,I just bought a car and don't want to pay huge amount on my car insurance. Anybody care to help me out may be a recommendation of place i can get it a little bit cheap.

Look for a broker that works with several insurance companies. They will shop for you and find the best rate. I have done this twice with great success.

I'm a progressive guy myself and have been for years. When I checked rates a few months ago, I called all the big companies. Progressive was over $100 cheaper than anyone else. Plus, they gave us an over $200 discount to us because we paid for the six month policy up front instead of month to month. When I called our local State Farm, the lady was shocked when I told her what progressive charged us. She got quiet and said that she was going to call them for herself. Every company is different as to who they give good rates to. Companies might have different age brackets for what they deem to be riskier people. We switched years ago when our company said we were still young and dangerous until age 25, when another company switched the age at 23. No one can tell you which is best for you and your driving record and car. You can get a quote in about ten minutes from any company.

First decide what coverages you will be looking for. It must meet the state minimums.

If you are financing the car you are required by the finance company to have collision and comprehensive with a loss payable clause showing them as the leinholder. If you do not provide policy information to them they will purchase a policy and legally add the cost of the policy to your payments (read your contract).

And for the C&C make sure the deductibles are at a level you can afford if you have a problem.

Try GMAC too. Their rates are comparable to Geico and Progressive, but provide higher coverage amounts. That's what I found to be the case when looking in May/June this year.

i find it odd, the first post of his/her ona Disney forum is about car insurance.

anyways... I'm surprised you are allowed to drive off without insurance.

I guess teh biggies' advertising hasn't worked in this case (Allstate, StateFarm, Geico, Progressive, Nationwide, etc..)
