Trip is in April, but doing some planning still. We will be driving down from Indiana. I will hit Orlando Saturday evening but my check in is for Sunday. Does anyone know of an inexpensive but nice hotel close to the park? I want to check out early on Sunday and do an early (like 7:30) check in at ASM and immediately go to Epcot.

Also, I know they will hold my luggage, but will they bring it to the room when it is ready?

The surprise for my kids is killing me but it will be so worth it! :woohoo:

Thanks a bunch!

Best Western Lakeside is an older AAA rated hotel about 4 minutes away from Animal Kingdom in Kissimmee. Rooms are generally about 50 bucks +/-.

We stayed there with our DD (16) and she felt it was fine. We felt safe and liked the location.

Thanks!! I will check into those and see who is cheaper since both were recommended. :)

Check out the Hilton at Downtown Disney - you can get it for a great rate on Priceline and similar sites - AND it is right across from Downtown Disney so you could just walk over! If you get there at night they have great entertainment at DTD, so that would be a great - and easy free night of entertainment! :)

We stayed there for a week last May and found it be the 'only' alternative to staying off property. (I say that jokingly!)

I like to walk in the evenings, and DTD, Saratoga Springs, the Treehouse Villas, and Old Key West made it a great place to stay to get out and see things on foot - without having to drive - take a bus - or anything else.

I have seen it for around $50 a night on different websites.

??? you have? I have never seen it ( and I mean NEVER) less than $120. Where do you book?

I stayed for the week using Hilton HHonors (reward) points from previous stays - but I have seen it more than once for around $50 a night. I know it has sold on Priceline for that price.
